Re: TDC VII Dark Ages - Results
Division A Aetius (Byzantines) defeats random27 (Andalusians) 47-8 A lot of bad luck fell upon the Andalusians (probably because they worship the wrong god) and it took only a few turns to rout their army. An early example was a Byzantine cavalry broke a unit early and just wrecked havoc on the Anda...

Re: TDC VII Dark Ages - Results
Division A Aetius (Byzantines) defeats karvon (Alans) 48-22 With little infantry backing them up, the Byzantines scattered most of the Alan horsemen, except for the left which fell into a bit of a trap and got hit a bit hard. Terrain helped too, but eventually the Byzantines hunted down enough Alans...

Aetius (Sea Peoples) defeats random27 (Babylonians) 63-57
Epic ancient battle lost to the written records, by the end of the battle there were hardly any units left. Could have easily been a tie as my fragged archer held the last turn. GG to a worthy opponent!

Aetius (Byzantines) defeats triarii (Germans) 57-26
After a lot of maneuvering, the Byzantines hit the softer parts of the German army, although their dismounted superior spears wrecked havoc wherever they attacked it was not enough in the end. GG!

Division A Aetius (Sea Peoples) defeats ianiow (Hittites) 70-31 The armies met in the middle of the map, and they became embroiled in a very messy, close, tight melee. It seemed to benefit the Sea People, limiting the Hittites deadly chariots. Even so, it was a fairly close game until the end, when ...

Aetius (Spartan) defeats tyronec (Thracians) 64-45
The Spartans managed to keep the Thracians on open ground, and although they put up a good fight, eventually were overwhelmed by the Spartan heavy infantry, while minimizing their potential deadly cavalry. GG!

Aetius (Byzantines) defeats random27 (Indians) 60-35
The game was hung in the balance for a bit with Indian archers hurting some Byzantine cavalry early on, but the Byzantine infantry helped turn the tide, and eventually pulled out the win. GG!

Aetius (Byzantines) defeats frederic02 (Avars) 55-27
Early lead by Byzantines stalled as the Avar lancers did some good damage, but ultimately the Avar flanks fell and slowly they were routed. GG!

Aetius (Spartan) defeats carpenkm (Antigonid) 55-27
A tough, straight up infantry line fight. The pikes smashed everything when one on one, but luckily for the Spartans some of their better units held until flanks could be hit. GG and thanks for playing!

Aetius (Byzantines) defeats Stones1985 (Nubians) 56-26
The weak Nubian center of low grade spears and archers fell back quickly, but their cavalry caused quite an issue on the Byzantine right; luckily it didn't get to cause much damage in time. Well fought by the Nubians, GG!

Division A Aetius (Byzantines) defeats Morat (Visigoths) 47-20 It was a fight with a lot of cavalry, and the line was long and stretched. The Byzantines gained the advantage, punching holes here and there, and ultimately routed the Visigoths, although not without significant losses themselves. GG!

Division A
Aetius (Byzantines) defeats Bagatrix1805 (Germans) 63-41
A hard fought battle, the German cavalry was strong, and maneuvered well to flank quite a bit; fortunately the Byzantines kept their center, and broke enough to rout the enemy first. GG!
