Re: Later Medieval Danish - Mixed levy: Revisited

So how do you guys use them?

Seems like they are quite good against non-knightly mounted units (and maybe not all that bad vs. knights). Is that the only valid role?

Later Medieval Danish - Mixed levy: Revisited

Hi Guys,

I haven't played a single game of FoG since September, so I'm behind the times.

I started this thread over 1 year ago: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=31816
at a time when V.2 was being talked about but wasn't actually here yet.

(I didn't want to commit threadomancy ...

Re: v.2 changes

I was looking for this too, and it took a long time to find it. Is there any way the moderators can "sticky" it, or anything? I would paste a link if I could, but since it's embedded it doesn't have it's own url.

BTW, now you have to go to the 3rd page on "News," and as time goes by and more news ...

Re: FoG:AM v2 - improvement suggestions for electronic forma

Some of the supplement books at Osprey are out-of-stock, but not all. I think about 4 out of 13 or so.

I would also like the Kindle compatible version.

I think so - both from near Andover in Hampshire. I think the problem was he didn't have a group of players sufficiently near to be workable for him. And I do think this is a difficult rule set to pick up without more experienced players to talk you through it - as indeed most rule sets of any ...

Re: online shop problem?

A good place to buy any FOG (A&M) army books is here:

http://www.ospreypublishing.com/store/discounted.aspx

Osprey (the original publisher) has them in the "discount store" for 45% off.

(gee, wonder why? )

Quick Reference Sheet for V.2

If this has already been covered, I apologize, but I didn't see it.

Is the Quick Reference Sheet on the Field of Glory "resources" page updated for version 2?

If not, will there be one provided soon?

Thanks.

(a) is this verified?
(b) Will the print version as well?

Re: Field of Glory goes 2.0 !

I know I’m a bit late to the party but will throw in my 2 cents –

I’m among those who was looking forward to a full-on Osprey publishing book much like v.1. The presentation and credibility of that book is what drew me to FoG. I’m not an old grognard or a newbie teen. I was in my early 30’s when I ...

Re: Different POAs in Same Combat? (example)

I don't have my rules with me but it probably says it somewhere in the Combat Mechanism chapter, probably quite early on in that chapter.

Bases in close combat fight (i.e. attempt to hit) the enemy base directly in front.
Bases in overlap attempt to hit the base they are overlapping, which does ...

Re: Can I use a 60x50mm Cavalry base without being Ostracise

So, I'm thinking of buying the pre-cut steel bases from wargameaccessories.com -- I just can't seem to get accurate enough with home-made bases despite my best efforts. Besides, I like the idea of having everything magnetized.

They don't make a 60mm x 50mm base, so I really am thinking of just ...

The difficulty isn't with the troop type though, it's that the army as a whole isn't that great.
