Re: Cold War 46 Skirmish Mod 1.4
Just a minor funny i have seen here and on other Skirmishes, the enemy seems able to drive its tanks all over minefields without setting them off.
The use of tank traps adds an interesting, if unfair, dimension to the skirmishes. They work well.

Re: Cold War 46 Skirmish Mod 1.4
Thanks for giving BA2 a new lease of life. I have been experimenting with altering the points for each side after selecting very large map and very large force (Wilderness defend). Something strange seems to happen to the Soviet force size if i give it around 4800 points. It often results in a very ...

Re: Rearguard Action
Remember, you only have to avoid loosing. Also the heavy enemy troops do not get on well in woods so your medium troops can hold them off. Slingers, archers and javelin throwers can be a bit of a nuisance though. You can always loose that battle then go back and try again to see if you get a better ...

Re: Rearguard Action
I have often found there is something like a gap between the wood and the edge of the map which can be defended by the Warband with the light troops in the wood protecting its flank. I also find it helps to hide for as long as possible. Occasionally you can go as fast as possible up the side of the ...

Re: Fatal Application Exit
Hi, first time i have seen it. I usually end a campaign with "Accept" so this was unusual.
I could not remember which enemy i had been fighting so loaded the last save to see who it was then went via Esc to start a new campaign.

Re: Fatal Application Exit
Hi, renamed battle as test case and zipped.
I did a limited test (i.e. only 1) and it does not seem to matter which new enemy (step 7) is selected on the main menu for the new campaign.

Re: Fatal Application Exit
I put the whole file here because i got the error Invalid file extension: error20191008_085810.log when i tried to attach the file to the message box I can repeat the error sequence. 1. Load an existing campaign - in this case Macedonian 260-148 BC vs Bosporan 348-85 BC (battle 15/15 perhaps) 2.Pres...

Re: What do you hope to see added before Fog II ends?
Quite a few of my battles end when i have inflicted just under 40% loss on the enemy with little loss to myself. Often this is from units some distance from the action recovering from routing. To make things even more annoying there may be a number of fragmented enemy units about to break. I guess i...

Minor nice to have user interface functions
1. The drop down list, when right clicking on units near the bottom of the screen (rotate, group rotate etc.), can partly be hidden under the unit information along the bottom of the screen so that some options cannot be selected. Could it be a drop up list under those circumstances? 2. The manually...

Rather unhelpful reinforcements arrival location
I just fought a campaign (stage 7 of 13) where my reinforcements were due at some point. The map had mountains at the bottom and both lower sides with a small amount of forest between the bottom mountain and the edge of the map. Unfortunately my reinforcements arrived at the bottom of the map and we...

Impressed with map creation for campaigns
I am continually impressed with the range of maps that the system provides for campaigns. There almost always seems to be some area with a geographical advantage (which is often needed). Is it done by clever software or are they (apparently a very large number) created manually? Well done whichever ...

Re: Enemy fails to move from starting position
Phew, i am a mere Governor! As you say the enemy can be triggered to advance but my poor triggering unit struggles a bit to escape without too many casualties.
