Panzer Corps is smart. Offer the game cheap and charge for DLC. Builds a solid base of users first.

I agree with this. CEaW play versus human's was too easy to cheat. :(

Comparison to CEaW ?

How does this game compare to Commader Europe at War? Better/worse AI? Better/worse multiplayer?

Thanks very much for the AAR Leridano. It was very enjoyable to follow.

Morris as Axis is almost impossible to beat as well. Just curious...what version was Morris doing this with? Was it a version previous to the last two Morris vs Max AAR's? I'm just wondering if it was an early version 2.0 that Morris was exploiting an Axis advantage, and that that now, as a ...

While I've found all the AAR's to be very interesting, the Morris vs SuperMax are the one's that have really grabbed my attention, for different reasons on each side. I find myself rooting for Max because I want him to show that the Axis can win. Not win as in prevent a Berlin occupation by May 1945...

I can't refer to many of the AAR's as they are still in progress. So I'll just say that for the last 10 AAR's since June, the results are: too early Axis losing Axis loss Axis losing Axis losing Axis loss Axis loss Axis losing Axis losing maybe draw (I'm being kind) Several of these games appear to ...

Is it possible for the Axis to win?

Seems every AAR with the latest version ends the same way. Allies steamroll the Axis. Is there any way the Axis can win, other than playing the AI or an inexperienced human? :?

Great thread and great comments.

Maybe SC2 beats CEAW on some aspects but that fugly tiled interface in SC2 killed it for me. I'd pick CEAW over SC2 for that reason alone.

That's a great idea, though I can't imagine it ever happening. Playing CEAW wirelessly with a buddy on another DS would be a lot of fun.

I tend to agree that the allies are overpowered. Against the AI, I've nerfed them somewhat by playing with oil consumption turned off. The single player game is interesting only insofar as a tutorial for multiplayer. I also agree that the AI is terrible. That being said, one might think I don't like...

Thanks for the quick response. Regarding the oil consumption setting for multiplayer, just browsing the boards I got the impression that it was very difficult to play Axis against a human Allied player. While oil consumption would affect both players, I thought oil consumption would negatively affec...

Oil consumption questions

1) If oil consumption is checked, is the AI also governed by these rules?

2) For those that play multiplayer, what's conventional wisdom on the oil consumption setting? Is it checked or not?
