Flank March and Deployment
I did my first Flank March last weekend. As we deployed I did what I thought was correct, but couldn't find guidance in the rules. I had an 8 battle group army, so 2-2-2-2 deployment. My flank marching BGs were in the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th deployment positions. I lost the initiative roll. I placed my fi...

Re: Sieges
Hello, Having been reliably informed that there are no rules for ancient sieges (nor are likely to be), I wondered what rules could be improvised for an attack on walls. Do any of you have any? Thanks! Tetricus Off the top of my head.... Every 40mm of wall is a "stand" of wall. Have a nor...

Re: terrain morality
In a (very) recent game we had just determined which side had gained the pre battle iniative, at which point my opponent wandered over to a terrain stand and bought some terrain specifically for the game. Is this legal? And more importantly is it morally acceptable? Personally i think the player in...

Incumbent on you to check your opponents force
I don't have much tournament experience (2). But in games I generally hand my list to my opponent durring the deployment and call them out as I place them down in my quarters. aka "this is my LH, superior, bow swordman...this is my Armored Cav, Average, Bow, Swordsman. It's there on my list tha...

Only by doing legal formation changes. They can't just shift around as there is nothing in the rules to allow it. So contract and then expand again. Are you saying that if they saw this threat while still active in thier own movement phase, they could not move the two back bases from the left side ...

Re: Non-equal points
We've got a campaign going right now. We have a mechanism in place to let the player's decide when the numbers are "too much" to be overcome by brilliant play or other advantages. Here's how it's written in the campaign rules: Fighting Withdrawal If a player finds themselves facing a drama...

Large Battles
I’m toying with the idea of building a mechanism to facilitate large battle generation. Where multiple players working in teams come together for a battle on a large tabletop, but the direction of approach and timing of arrival of forces is determined strategically versus at initial set up. The (sti...
