They belong to player #3 who is on your side but not controlled by you; as the post above indicated: they are AI-controlled. Looking forward to this title and thinking how much money it will save by not having to collect -- and paint -- miniatures and terrain. Hopefully, they will add support for a multiplayer co-op campaign in the future.

The reason the game crashes is that it looks like 12 Infantry units were deleted so the script crashes when it attempts to move those units into their randomly determined hexes.

Specifically, these units (IDs) are missing:
inf = {176,177,178,179,180,181,182,183,184,185,186,187 ...

Basically, just capture the hex with a US unit -- not a French unit -- to fulfill the objective; actually, capture may not even been required, perhaps it works even if you enter the hex (after it has been captured)?

You need to capture the hex (Arc de Troimphe) with a *US* (not French) unit just like you had to capture the Eiffel Tower with a French (not US) unit for the "Raise the flag" objective. You can still use other units to clear the hex, the first Allied unit to enter the hex triggers the condition ...

The armor mode change appears to work, for me, but I noticed an immediate efficiency degradation as soon as you move with the armor activated. Is that intentional?

US Rangers are normal recruitable units and are quite effective. I believe this conversation is about the extra units that you can recruit with the UK specialization "Special Services" even though both can be considered commandos.

the knife attack should be zero, should retreat at once and their vision radius should be expanded because once they are discovered they are dead.

Landing fields and aircraft carriers have a limited number of storage slots. Are there any other aircraft onboard the carrier at the time you are trying to land? It may just be a generic message indicating that there are no spaces available for your aircraft to land.
