Re: Problem loading rules with PC eReader
I don't know whether something has been fixed up on the server end but I tried this morning again and it downloaded. Hooray!! I did notice that the download rate was much faster than previous tries so if nothing was corrected I wonder whether there are timeout periods that would have caused the init...

Problem loading rules with PC eReader
I have a similar issue to the one that was posted here http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=183&t=43209 I had entered a reply on this post being related but since I've had no reply thought it may be best to start a new post. The ereader loads fine but its the download of the rules tha...

Re: Problem Loading Rules Into eReader
I am experiencing exactly the same problem. Same file number as well, file 12 of 37. The PC ereader I'm using is v2.0.3. Is there a later one and if so where can it be downloaded from.
Thanks
Daniel

Auto Breaks and Cohesion
Just wanting to make sure that I have the understanding of this correct. If a unit auto-breaks after combat, I take it that even though it would eventually be removed, that it would still perform an initial route move during the associated combat phase, causing whatever disruptions it may inflict an...

Re: Overlap questions
OK so I have this clear using my two examples again. 1a. If the HF on both side A and B have no net POA against each other each side would have 6 dice requiring at least 4 to score a hit. The Side A LF would give side A 1 additional dice (due to LF v HF giving 1 dice per 2) but since the LF are like...

Flank / Rear charge and Cohesion tests
Had a situation arise on the weekends game that I'd like a clarification on. We had two cavalry units in close combat and during the Impact phase a BG of HF made a legal Flank charge into the enemy cavalry BG already involved in close combat. According to p55 the BG being charged immediately drops a...

Severe Disorder and Cohesion tests
p132 states that if any part of a BG is in Severe Disorder that a CMT applies as if the whole BG is in Severe Disorder. Does the -1 modifier for a Cohesion test apply in the same manner? (ie only one stand in Severe Disorder). I can't find where this is explicitly stated.

Overlap questions
After another game over the weekend I have another set of questions in relation to Overlaps. 1. I had previously thought that BGs only in overlap were treated just the same as if they were fighting to the front of an enemy BG and that the enemy BG had to allocate melee dice to fight the BG in overla...

Skirmishers against HF in the Open
Had a situation in our game last night where two opposing BGs of Skirmishers were in close combat in the open and we had a HF BG join the combat. Obviously the opposing Skirmishers got beaten up by the HF BG but we were a little surprised that in the Cohesion Test you have a -1 modifier to your roll...

I wouldn't say Townsville is near. Same state but further away than Sydney.

Re: Rule clarifications
Where are you? You may be near an existing gaming group. :?: Sorry, I meant to get back to you. We're a bunch of 4 friends in Brisbane Australia and we're gaming with 20mm-1/72 so gaming groups are few and far between. We know they exist with 28mm but are happy with our more casual approach to thin...

Re: Rule clarifications
Thanks, that all makes sense. We've read the rules a couple of times, and without any of us having played the rules before its been a bit of a necessity. I'm sure we'll have further situations that arise but I think we are in a good place with them. Thanks again for the thorough responses.

Rule clarifications
Our group had its 5th game using these rules last night. Its taking time but we are slowly getting into the groove. Our game was a Cartho vs Roman and fun was had by all. It was just using starter armies and played at a casual pace. The game went for about 4.5hrs with the Romans taking victory but w...
