Re: Brave New World (total conversion) -v3.5 + No Counters

Yeah I had a marriage yesterday so I finished the scenario friday because saturday was gonna be too much of a busy day. I don't know how you wrote ingame so I'll reply here: yes, the various categories of troops are all modifiable with little problems. I can't modify abilities, though, I remember I...

Re: Brave New World (total conversion) -v3.5 + No Counters

Ok I have tried the Fate of Greece 1941 first scenario. How do I attack those fortifications? Infantry doesn't deal any damage, bombers get quite a lot of damage in return from every ground unit :-D Do I just need to attack from behind? But I will have to get used to those symbols. The units in the...

Re: modding chassis

Thanks! Yeah I didn't want to invent new flags so I used the same names and flags in a fictional world and it brings some strange results. Yes, totally. I tested the factions by playing hotseat with myself and it works nicely. If you are interested I can craft some hotseat scenario with unit purcha...

Re: modding chassis

Ah ok. Do you have an overview of all your changes? Would be good to know what to look for. You mentioned more realistic movement speeds. And is your mod compatible for multiplayer? There's a link to the full manual and a short-ish description in the first post of the linked thread. The speeds have...

Re: modding chassis

It's a total conversion mod, the chassis changes are a tiiiny part of it: https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=108116 Ah ok nice. Am I reading correctly you have replaced the models with counters? In your intro. But then the title is now "no counters". Why would you remove the...

Re: Brave New World (total conversion) -v3.5 + No Counters

It's been a long while: I didn't had the will to manually name the divisions of the last campaign, way too much trouble. I decided to release the 3.5 version, which should be fully functional. I may redesign the game in future releases to be less of a chore campaign-wise from my end because nothing ...

nice, thanks.
You have already modded it?
Yes, the roads' mechanics is a bit wonky but everything works reasonably fine.

Re: "Healer" trait

Is this trait useful? Is it cheaper than "normal" repair button? It "immobilizes" the receiving unit, too, so I'm confused about its utility. Obviously it can repair structures (bunkers...(even airstrips maybe)). It has been ages since I've tested it, but doesn't the healer unit...

Re: heavy infantry as support vs infantry?

I tried to do that, it doesn't work unless you set every infantry as "mechanized", I think it's the "defense trait" that defines if a unit gets targeted by AT guns. This however would make actual AT guns fire at infantry as well, and if you set infantry as "mechanized" ...

Re: feature to capture whole islands

I think the game automatically fills every "empty" area automatically. I've advanced along two roads that connected into a town a bit ahead, and after a turn the game automatically filled the empty area between the road with my ownership, since the enemy had no supply point nor units in it...

Re: The Russian Campaign Multiplayer Questions

Unfortunately, there is no way to change the scenario from dry to wet or snowy or any other base condition since those are entirely different tiles set up in the editor. Changing weather is just cosmetic as Karis said.

Re: heavy infantry as support vs infantry?

It's not possible: infantry class units can't get targeted by support fire. Unless there's a way to code that into the game, it's not possible by using the base game's mechanics. Should be something easily done though? If one knew where to find it. It seems for Anti tank support, the only thing the...
