@Wolf: I don't think that simply immobilizing Ottoman units in Mesopotamia would be helpful, therefore I've implemented a similar routine for spawning Ottoman units in Mesopotamia in singleplayer mode vs CP AI like for British units in the Persian Gulf in singleplayer vs Entente AI. That's probably caused by the combat bonus for the first submarine attack " Silent Killers " but I'm not sure. Maybe we should exclude Troop Transports from the event, although it's unrealistic. Why were you not able to protect (= surround) the BEF troop transport with units from the Roya...

Another Suggestion at least for MP. The transport that spawns after the BEF event is played (in Calais) can be sunk by the CP player rather easily. I noticed in my current game that the transport can’t be sunk in harbor.

Is it intended for the transport to be easy to sink in MP?

Finished my singe player game today on turn 50. As I’ve said in a previous post the game does play much slower now with the shell production changes which isn’t a bad thing. Have you considered having Sit John French dismissed shortly after the Shell Crisis Event triggers as happened historically at the end of 1915? Of course Haig would then be unlocked after French is removed from play.
