I was wondering why I am being punished for finishing a scenario early. If I aim for a decisive victory and finish the scenario some turns earlier I will not get the prestige from that turns for the next scenario.

Hi, I have been playing the game extensively and the only thing I miss is a small icon on the unit icon that informs me if the unit has a leader, similar to PG2. I don´t know if this has been asked before but it really would help.

Overrun was in Panzer General 2. Panzer Corps it seems to me to be inspired mostly by PG1, even the maps are similar. PG1 was on a larger scale (brigade/division) than PG2 so an overrun function would be rather unrealistic I would think.
