Thank you! For now my solution is to keep it windowed, play under a lower resolution and the game no longer crashes. I also notice that the game doesn't lag as badly when I play smaller maps and against less AI opponents. The issue only happened when I was playing against 7 other AI enemies on a hug...

I actually had a dream this morning where I was playing both the Astra Militarum and Skitarii factions for this game and producing Skitarii units and Onager Dunecrawlers to support my tanks and infantry against the enemy AI!

Thanks! Here's an update. Thanks to my brother's advice, I somewhat mitigated the problem by running the game in windowed rather than full screen and lowering the resolution of the game. Whenever it goes into the AI's turn, especially in late game (past 170 turns), my computer crashes every single time.
