Well, I knew swordsmen capability meant short reach melee weapons of all types, not just swords. I don't know whether linothorax was worse than a bronze plate cuirass or vice versa. Paul, I am having an issue with how your units are portrayed vs what capabilities they actually have/how protected they are. Paul, playing with early Roman units, they ALL sport Legio III banners. Wouldn't it be better to create a more generic Roman banner for them? I see no error about this decision, but I have added safeguards nonetheless. The error is in the implementation: the RNG selects various POPs in "slave" status to convert to citizens the selected POPs change to "citizen" icons, but tooltip/stats remain "slave" the RNG ...

One of their stats is way better then the average light cavalry - they have double the flanking modifier of the generic light infantry which makes them leathal flankers.

I gave the too high population remark quite some time ago. It is defenitely a valid one. Historical levels can't be simulated because then players will get bored but still a defenitive curb must be done in this regard.
