Re: pbem security - A Pragmatic View ?

Please don't be too critical of me. But, what follows below is my response to my very first PBEM CEAW opponent (Doug Snurri) regarding his question about "do overs", aka "cheating". I think the fact that one can.......probably means that most people do. This is only my second gam...

Re: Axis Minors

Yes, it is a weird game, mostly my fault.....operationally / tactically I have done reasonably well, hence all the Capitals the Axis still had under their control so late in the game.....but, strategically / logistically (i.e. Med supply rules) I (the Axis player) have been terrible.....won't bore y...

Axis Minors

I suspect my opinion doesn't count for much, but I would like to attempt to raise a couple of points regarding the Axis Minors, when they go down. In a game I am currently playing it is 13 Nov 1944 and up until last turn the Axis (Germany) still controlled Paris, Rome and Moscow (and of course Hambu...

Re: GS Beta Testers - Looking for Opponents

Do we ever test TCP/IP real time games? If so, I would like to try a Beta test game in the form of a real time situation with a reasonable time limit (aka fairly long). If this type of game can work well we might be able to put together some kind of tournament. Might be a nice change up? I am in Aus...

Re: GS 2.1/medium exp/either side

Hi Cybvep,

Despite my recent less than stellar performance against Ronnie, I do think I can offer you a competitive game.......don't mind if I play Axis or Allies or even a mirror (both sides in parallel) ?

Re: Clash of the Mortals (Allied Major Victory)

(Page 5 of Roonie's AAR) Turns 54 to 58 My comments / thoughts regarding the turns described on this page are: They say timing is everything thing. I knew that the Russians would probably go on the attack soon. So, I started to move into more defensible positions, and tried to build and deploy as ma...

Re: Clash of the Mortals (Allied Major Victory)

(Page 2 of Roonie's AAR) Turns 22 to 34 In our last game (between Ronnie and myself, with me playing as the Allies) it went right down to the wire and ended up in a draw. What I took away from that game was two things. The first being that it is much easier playing as the Allies than the Axis. I had...

Ah.....not quite what I expected.....I was hoping that my first post would appear at the bottom of Ronnie's first page......if I do anymore posts I will attempt to do a better job of associating my comments to the relevant pages and any specific comments my posts are trying to refer.

Hi guys......not really sure how to do this, but I hope to add my thoughts (ill conceived as t...
