Re: Next expansion
aside from the continual call for an Eastern Front expansion, I love the concept of "What if" scenarios most of all - those not historical, but those that could have been - like Sealion, or maybe german invasions of sweden, or the finnish-russio war, or a pacific campaign, or what if franc...

Re: retreat for a gain?

retreat for a gain?
anyone notice that when after suppressing units below a certain point, some enemy units by design, will retreat if you continue to hammer on them? While this seems exactly as expected, sometimes units retreat actually TOWARDS the units that attacked them, or in a direction that puts them directly in...

Re: Tougher AI
Pip... i think there still are issues with AI.. i see enemy units doing the back and forth dance, where they just move left one, right one, left one, right one, until the APs are used.. often they do this with unamoured units like the APCs used...even while they are in full view of and in range of m...

Re: What's the point of having "fast" tanks in this game?
in response to what good are fast tanks, using terrain and cover to attack the enemy from the rear or flanks is the way to go.... using trees or other cover allows you to not be seen by the enemy until you pop up behind or from the flank... also, use your fast tanks to reconn ahead of the main force...

Re: Battle Academy 2.0.7 Update Available for PC and Mac
any chance of doing an incremental patch just to address the changes between 2.06 and 2.07 for those of us whom have labored for 2 weeks with low bandwith just to download the 2.06 update? If its just 2 things being changed, maybe you can release just a non comprehensive update for those whom alread...

Re: Your Favorite Campaign and Why
thanks for the poll! I voted for sealion, because that is one of those favorite "what ifs" historians love to argue about and to get to play such a campaign is cool... I find the market garden series of linked campaigns nearly impossible for me to win at, given the carry over of what units...

Re: Sealion 40 - how to kill the RAF
the best methodology i use to kill any opponents air force, is to triple or quadruple up on whichever enemy fighter is the weakest and most likely to get a complete "kill" as opposed to whittling it down to 1 or 2 points... so, i surround the weakest enemy fighter or bomber with 3 or 4 of ...

Re: Is the Bishop some version of smart weapon?
hi Merr.... wow, what a resource of info you have obtained ! Great job of research! I think I agree, unguided rockets should perhaps have a higher error probability ellipse - in other words, they might have a tight hit pattern, but when you are indirectly firing 1/3rd of the way across the map on a ...

Re: feedback after a few games
hi pip... thanks for the quick reply... responding to your item 7/8 above... quote - 7/8 - I will check into it. Do you mean in the DDay campaign, I wasn't aware the AI had artillery end quote yes, the very first campaign of the normandy scenario - where you have to link up with the village and chur...

feedback after a few games
hi folks.. love this game.. see below Notes on the 2.06 –v4 battle academy beta 1. In the tutorial campaign, twin 88s are destroyed by a fighter when in the real game and real life, the fighter would probably be shot down… having the aircraft do this in the tutorial might set up unrealistic expectat...
