Re: Empires and FoGII

Thanks for the response. Well I bought Empires last week (with the Persian module), but I bought FOGII a while ago (maybe last year), so I should update that before I try to launch Empires and try the tactical module? Thanks for your help, much appreciated. Is there a printed manual I can get hold o...

Empires and FoGII

Wonder if someone can help me. I recently bought FoG Empires, but sure I recall someone somewhere saying you could connect it to FoGII so that you can fight the battles at a more tactical level. Is this the case, and if so how do I unite the two (do I need to have specific versions and so on?) Many ...

Scenario downloads

I'm sure I've seen this mentioned elsewhere, but has something changed with DropBox that means you can no longer download the scenarios created on this forum? Am trying to download Pieper but it keeps giving me a Dropbox 404 message. Any ideas how I can get the games into my BA1? Many thanks :)

I have the same problem, I think it's something to do with DropBox but not 100% sure.

Re: OPERATION BARBAROSSA GERMAN- Solo

This looks good, but when I try to download it I only get to 95% and then it stops - is this me or something on the link perhaps? Many thanks :-)

Re: BA2 Scenarios by Enric

Are you the person that has created all these Squad Leader scenarios? I just wanted to say 'thank you'. My favourite board game was probably Squad Leader (prior to ASL) when it came out, a friend and I used to play all the scenarios. I've not played them for 30yrs I think, it's just fantastic to pla...

Save the installer, then just install on your new PC. All MP games will be carried over automatically as they are linked to your account not your machine. Ok, thanks (although I don't know what an 'installer' is, sadly I'm IT illiterate). PC seems to have recovered a bit today, although I fear this...

PC Death

Can I just say straight out, this game is great. Ok, there are a couple of problems I have: a) my pc is mid-death    , how can I get this game back again (only bought it a few weeks ago)? b) how can I tell my opponents that the pc is checking-out, and not leave them thinking "tha...

For privacy reasons we wont be doing this but we might add a way to PM people through the server so the server mails them and no personal details are revealed. Ok, I understand, although in other PBEM games people send emails too I think, but I appreciate you wish to maintain confidentiality and so...

PBEM

Just a brief note on PBEM. First off, I think the system is excellent and so easy to use that it makes me wonder why this hasn't been tried before --- top marks to the developers. However, is it possible to include email addresses in the system (although I guess I could ask when I start a game). It'...

Ok thanks Ian, if I get the book off the shelf is it the same rules (taking away the "how to..." section you would use for a pc game)?

Just bought the game...

As per the subject, I've just bought the game, and had a 10min game on the introductory scenarios, and enjoyed it. However (and I've seen this somewhere else now), erm, where's the rules manual or is it all on-line? I'd be interested in printing it off if it's just pdf? I did actually buy the miniat...

Thanks for the prompt reply, but are these detailed graphics with data intrinsic within them, or just the box with a cross in it that I've seen on some of the screen shots?

Graphics

I'm very keen to play a grand strategy game, and this one looks exciting - however, I'm really not keen on the graphics at all (call me an old fart etc etc etc :D ). Is there the possibility to have the 'cardboard counters' type look that you get in SSG games for example?

Thanks

Call me a bore, but I would much prefer Nato symbols. I find the images look quite nice, but NATO stuff would be better :D
