Attack Devizes - FOG AM

I believe the FOG AM tourney at Attack has been cancelled. We'll don't despair, I'm running a FOG AM demo game, Battle of Magnesia, at the show and I'm looking for a couple of people to help play and run it. The game will be 1000 pts and I need people who are happy to play and explain to onlookers w...

Help Wanted - Speedy reply needed if you can

I'm looking for a few volunteers to play a medieval FOG demo game on my stand, A&M Army Supplies (Donnington Miniatures) at the 'South West Model Engineering, Model Making and Hobbies Exhibition' which is being held at the Royal Bath and West Showground in Shepton Mallet (Somerset) from Sat 30th...

Vallet de Guerre

Does anybody know about 'Valet de Guerre' during the 100 Yrs and Burgundian Wars? Who where they? How where they dressed and equipped? How where they deployed and used?
Any bits of info would be helpful.
Thanks

I can't make all 4 days of Britcon as I have a trade stand to man on Sat/Sun. However, if there is an opportunity to play on Thurs or Fri, I'd be pleased to bring an army. Perhaps I could keep the umpire occupied between rulings.

Terrain set-up cheese

I've been chewing over a ruse RBS used against me in an effort to get a flank free of terrain. The more I think about it, the more I think that the rules are weak to allow it. Basically, having won the PBI, RBS laid a road across the table which was 6" from the side edge, thus preventing any ot...

To simplify the situation, why not say that an ambush must be revealed as soon as an ememy battle group moves within range to just be able to see into the edge of the feature hiding the ambush. In reality, the ambush BG may still not be in line of sight, but one could argue that they have been given...

Rather than using counters why not simply make some blank bases, i.e. bases with no figures on, of normal frontage that have the same finish as the figure bases in your army. There are probably numerous ways of showing the cohesion state using these blank bases but here's a few suggestions: 1. Swap ...

Triples - 24th- 25th March - sheffield

Just a quick note to let you know that I have a stand at Triples (currently listed as No 94 'Ancient and Modern Army Supplies'). Many of you will have seen examples of what I produce at the the Usk and Leeds AoW touraments, but, for those who don't know me, I supply fully painted armies in 15mm and ...

Hammy You may be cheered to hear that when I played Bruce, he won PBI by 1 having rolled a 6, he moved my mandatory piece of terrain 12" to an out of the way position having rolled another 6 and then rolled 4 more 6s to remove all my terrain choices,. He, of course, had placed 4 open areas that...

Terrain Set up - A wild idea!

I had a discussion a while ago with Richard BS about a method of deploying terrain that may not be visible at the time of troop deployment. The general concept was that on occassion, the location of a terrain feature might be known to one army and not to the other and that this knowledge could be ex...

I've played several games with and against armies containing an IC. If you anticipate having to make lots of CTs (eg if you are fighting against an army containing lots of Bw) or lots of CMTs (eg if your army has many undrilled BGs) then they are very useful to have. However, in an 800pt army at 80p...
