Re: FOG 2 crashing under windows 11

Hi again,

I´ve updated the gpu-driver today. With no effect, I am afraid. The game crashes as before. About every three minutes.

Re: FOG 2 crashing under windows 11

When you say crashes the whole system, do you mean you just get a black screen? Nothing happens if you hit return?

Ecactly.

Hi Pip, let´s see: Is that the entire error log? Yes. Did you post one grabbed immediately after the crash? Yes. When does the crash happen? Randomly during my bound. Not while it´s the computers move. Are you running any mods? no. And: what is the error message that comes up? None. The computer cra...

FOG 2 crashing under windows 11

Hi,

FOG 2 worked fine with my old computer using Windows 10. Since I am using a new computer under Windows 11 FOG 2 is crashing nearly every bound.

Ideas?

Hi,

here´s the result of Muwattali vs Thorsten

Muwattali won in turn 12

Thorsten won in turn 11

A very close run game with a lucky end for me.

Hi Hammy,

you should have come. Not only table service (unfortunately only males servants), but a bar of a non-profit organization. Beer was around 1,50 € for half a liter (nearly a pint).

Hi Simon,

true. Either the international relations AND the rule question. Our basic problem with the rules was the fact that we couldn´t find the rule in the book...

Hi Lawrence, we are nothing without you... Thank you again - I will look this up as soon as I am home. And thank you for your little english lesson. And to improve your german: "base "in german is "Basis", while "basis" is "Basen". A little confusing, isn´t it...

Hi, when do you count troops as being "uphill" in FOG? We recently had the situation of a former 6th edition player playing a former DBM player with two very different ideas of being uphill. For the 6th-bloke uphill meant "charging downhill with at least a part of the basis (what is t...

Hi, counters - definitely. Having played Early Germans a lot (with lots of disordered / wavering / routing units) you need a good visual effect. We used markes in blue/yellow/red. I would like markers with single figures glued on (wounded / dead figures - like in Age of Eagles) even better. Thorsten

Hi,

we played Early Germans vs. Romans (Republican, if I remember correctly) three times. The Germans hardly ever managed to rout Roman units. And lost all games. The Germans look very impressive when set up - and when routing...

Moin Simon, A good or bad thing in your view. Makes flank attacks less likely. Good thing (if you prefer playing infantry armies like me). Do you find much advantage to deploying second? I played the Germans. I NEVER deployed second... But it felt like deployment at DBM - it feels very uncomfortable...

Hmmm,

at the moment "Cohesion Test" sounds the proper name to me... Or what about "Vom Kriege" ? Not used as the name for a game before - as far as I know.

Hi there, here are our impressions on the first two games Martin and I played. First game was a "little" test with roughly 400 points per side with Alexander Macedonian vs. Early German, the second was a full 800 points game with Imperial Romans vs Early Germans. 1. Army size: the armies a...

We are playing 800 points at the moment (usually Imperial Romans vs. Early Germans) and it takes us long - roughly 6,5 hours per game. If you deduct 2 hours per game for rule reading and interpretation we are still at 4,5 hours.
