Re: Panzer Corps 2
i do miss the trait for an aircraft to conduct missions during any type of weather. It should be noted that so-called "all-weather" (radar-equipped) aircraft didn't enter service with the Luftwaffe until 1942 and was used only on fighters in the first half of the war (the RAF had radar-eq...

Re: Next up.
Or the Pacific.. Given that they also recently released Order of Battle: Pacific, which is a game very, very similar to Panzer Corps, I highly doubt that we'll ever see a PC:Pac DLC from Slitherine. Such a DLC, besides being a lot of work, would likely steal sales from their OOB product. I'm afraid...

I agree with kverdon. And it shouldn't require modders to try to fix a major flaw in the DLC. Slitherine should fix it.

Re: OOB vs Panzer Corps
Panzer corps is better than Panzer General was, by a good margin IMO. but... OOB is far better than either. not just the graphics, mind, but the mechanics are better, and the AI is better. the maps are more interesting as well. There is one feature that both PG and PC have (as well as Civilization ...

That does not sound like the US Corps DLC, but it does sound like the US side of the Allied Corps DLC. I think that you've been playing the 'wrong' DLC.

To get the Casablanca French 105 there's a city in the NE part of the map, I forget if it's the coastal city or the one to the east of it inland, that spawns the gun.egrofik wrote:Thank you for the list, but what are the conditions to get these units?
In USC42 I only get the Panzer IIIN and SdKfz 234/2 8r.

Re: To whoever did mission design for US '42
I thought the Stalingrad mission design was pretty cool. I didn't "enjoy" that mission, but I don't see anything bad about it, either. The concept of an ever more restricted battlespace was novel, even if it came as a very rude surprise on my first playthrough. Once you know what to expect...

Re: US Corp Close Terrain Caps
The proper (and safer) way to kill German tanks is with tac air. Mop up what the bombers leave with TDs. Works for me. Your infantry, backed by arty, should just sit dug in and let enemy armor break itself against you. Coming out of your trenches and foxholes to do battle with tanks is just not a go...

Re: Spring Wind
If you're playing U.S. Corps you'll get the "not enough units slots" warning if you try to buy any non-U.S. units. This is a common mistake, as the British flag/units icon is at the top far left and the game defaults the cursor to that icon instead of the U.S. flag/units icon. Just make su...

Re: To whoever did mission design for US '42
Actually, U.S. resources were an issue, to a degree, in late '42 / early '43. Not so much with equipment as with the trained men to use it. The American factories could spit out a tank far faster than it took to train farm boys to effectively operate one, and the situation was worse for aircraft. No...

Re: Briefing 'Tone' and Errata
The problem with Soviet Corps is that you get berated even after Triumphs. Repeatedly. It's silly and detracts from the game. Getting chewed out for doing better than expected is not how professional military officers behave. Not even under the Soviet system.

Re: "Super" heroes in US DLC 44-45 (Spoiler?)
Why are there fewer 'super' heroes in the US Corps (and Soviet Corps) DLCs than in the German GC? You get more heroes just in 1939 playing as Germany in the GC than you do playing in the complete DLC series of any of the Allied powers.

Re: some noob questions
On the small, early maps your units might be as small as battalion strength. But on most maps your units will be regimental or brigade strength. On some maps, even divisional strength. The game is abstract, and not at all intended to be an accurate historical simulation, so unit sizes are purposely ...

Re: To whoever did mission design for US '42
There is some strange behavior in the El Guettar ('42) mission. You receive a captured Panzer IIIN at some point (I won't say when to avoid further spoiling). This unit, unlike those in previous campaign DLCs, or even captured units earlier in the US '42 DLC (such as the SdKfz 234/2), while being ca...
