i've played thru mithras five times at the very hard level. actually, it is getting a little boring. what is your score? btw, reading skills do come in handy when attempting to master these trivial computer games.

the easiest way to get thru mithras at the very hard level is to have a very stong, small army. 1 light infanty, 4 heavy infantry, three archers (celts) and two heavy cavalry. concentrate on swordsman, armor penetration, feign, and anti-infantry specialists for all infantry. buy an much up grades as ...

make sure all your infanty have master swordsman l or better, it helps to have two strong heavy cavalry to take out those nasty archers. keep all your heavy infanty in the leadership ring of the general without getting the general killed of course.

the only way i know how to play completely throught the very hard level, including Mirthras, is to be very observant and constanly correct for the stupidity of your units, especially the leader/general. otherwise, i can't think of how it would be possible to play through with a large, but weak army ...
