I dont like the idea of disallowing armies, but they may be due to my fondness of playing them in wargames constantly, not just FoG. (I actually use Skythians in another historical wargame, they aren't as good as they are here though)

Nobbynobbs Skythians beat gamercb Scots-Irish 55-63 in an extremely close and tense game.

oscarious challenged me a couple of days ago, armies have just fought the opening skirmishes with our light horse so it is underway!

it was a great game. Went the full number of turns....phew.

The terrain, especially, was against both of us. Virtually the whole battlefield was steep hills and rough going. Perfect for a cavalry army and heavy foot army to operate....NOT!!!!
