Leader casualties
We've all had the unpleasant experience of our leader getting "offed" in combat and suddenly a battle that is in the bag gets turned around by all the adjacent morale checks. I had the experience once of a leader leading a unit of knights charging into the flank of a raw infantry, routing ...

Re: Kingdoms Royalty Patch 1.01 is coming soon
The update (I'm not sure I'd call it a "patch" because the game runs great, but I'll leave that to the developers to use their terms of the trade), sounds promising. I have a question though. Does anyone know how to get rid of those pesky claims on your domain? While playing the El Cid cam...

Re: Still coming ?
How does this stack up to Quadriga? It looks like the same game with upgraded graphics.

Re: FoG joy: Control or history?
I don't think you're missing anything. Unit placement and an eye for terrain is critical. You can decide when to charge into melee, but, of course, have no control if your opponent initiates melee. Once melee starts, there's little you can do, other than perhaps throwing one of your leaders into the...

Re: "Turn-Based Total War-like Games?"
I too am hoping that FoG Kingdoms fits the role. It appears that it will. the main difference being that Medieval Total War's turn based campaign is punctuated by RTS (but pausable) battles while the FoG battles are turn based. Looking at FoG Empires as an example you can see how this is played out ...

Re: What is next for Field of Glory?
The problem with moving the game forward into the Renaissance, much less early gunshot eras is evident if you've ever played any of the fun user created mods covering the time period. It's the artillery. Bayonets and musketry is an easy development to mod. The medieval games already have early firea...

Steel Wolves from Compass Games
I've partially played this monster board game about the WWII German U-boat campaign. It's a great game, but my assessment matches with others who have tried to play it. It's just too massive for a board game, but would be a great computer game. It's a shame that no one has considered taking this one...

Re: Field of Glory: Kingdoms is now on Discord
Does anyone have any idea or speculation when or if Kingdoms will ever come out? Are there any more DLCs forthcoming for FoG II Medieval?
