So when is this going to be released? I can't find a press release, and watching 4+ hours video in hopes of catching the release schedule is not really possible for me
So what is the situation with the new DLCs? FoG Ancients had a much faster rate of DLC release, this is a bit disappointing When is the next one expected to drop? have there been any hints? Also, I am trying to guess the complete list of DLCs we can expect, but I am not really up to date on what FoG...
Hello, need some advice. The title says it all - how do I recruit cataphracts if I am playing Seleucids? The only Idea I have so far is to conquer Armenia and recruit it as a provincial unit (like I can do with Median light cav, for example), however it does not seem to work.. I took several regions...
Richard has already stated that the game will cover something like 2000BC (ish?) to 1500AD. 1500 is the start date for the two previous games in the series, Pike and Shot and Sengoku Jidai. Yeah, I've seen that. As far as going beyond 1500 AD, I'm perfectly fine with this period being kept separate...
I am also dying to know if there is any long term plan in place for expanding the current time periods covered by DLCs While FoG and FoG Empires are both excellent games, I am completely jaded by the time period they are covering (Ancient Era). In the last 10 years there has been a flood of various ...
Will there be a new expansion soon? It has been some time since the last one (October I think). We are working on it. Rather more new models are needed for the next DLC than were needed for either of the last two. I'm guessing this is because the next expansion will jump to medieval period. Time wi...
Does this mean that the Field of Glory II game will not include Renaissance/Pike&Shot era? This era could use an update from the previous treatment by Slitherine (Pike&Shot game), it has been some time since that game was published. It means that if we do a reboot of those periods it will b...
Will there be a new expansion soon? It has been some time since the last one (October I think). Also, this: We plan to cover the full range of history from about 2500 BC to 1500 AD in due course. Does this mean that the Field of Glory II game will not include Renaissance/Pike&Shot era? This era ...
Sorry, it might be my rudimentary computer skills, but I can't find the download option for this. Is it supposed to be in the "Historical Battles" download section? If yes, is it under "Single player Scenatios" or Multiplayer? In any event, I can't find this scenario in either sc...
The first DLC was Immortal Fire, covering the Persian Wars. Looking at how things were done for FOG1, we can broadly expect further coverage of the ancient world first - Imperial Rome, maybe the chariot empires etc. After that, I'm guessing a chronological advance, Dark Ages - late middle ages. So,...
I play P&S on a Win tablet. It works really well. Basically any tablet with Atom Z8300 chip or above will be able to run it, but I would recommend either a Celeron N3450 or even better M3-7Y30 processor. Anything beyond that is I think not needed for P&S (however you may need a better spec t...
And not too be overlooked are the system requirements. FoGII is a resource hog. I enjoy playing P&S on my windows tablet. With FoGII this is impossible. Even my wife's laptop is too weak to run it.
For me supersized out of scale animated figures repeating the same moves over and over destroy the immersion. It makes the game look like a tabletop wargame (which for FoG might make sense as it is derived from a table top game) but P&S graphics look like 16th and 17th century illustrations of ...
Since we're voicing wishes, I would love for a wargame (any wargame - P&S, FoG II, a third entity...) to incorporate 16th-17th century sieges (vauban system!) in a more realistic fashion. I am thinking stuff like laying down saps and trenches, deciding where to build artillery platforms, concent...
Certainly we intend to extend the game - but I cannot give you a timeframe. OK, fair enough. All I can say to that is...hurry up and take my money! personally, i dream of Napoleonic Era Field of Glory game.. :) Napoleonic would be interesting too, but all of these other periods have been real...
As a big fan of the prevoius P&S and Sengoku Jidai games, I am very much looking forward to FOG II, it looks to be a major step forward for historical wargaming. I will be a firstday buyer and will probably sink a lot of hours into it. Having said that, and being fully aware of how entitled this...
