Re: How to Discern the Height of a Square.

Thank you.

So, for example, if hypothetically we have a plateau at 100 meters elevation, then every square on that plateau will show an elevation of 100 meters, correct?

How to Discern the Height of a Square.

As I'm playing the Ashdown scenario, trying to find a way to beat the Vikings, I am irritated by my struggles to discern the exact height of each hex. It seems as though I can click on some hexes, and the height is revealed. But, with other hexes, that information is not provided. To win this scenar...

Re: I've been bad at this game for years.

Wow! thanks for the quick advice, folks!

I probably should re-start things by playing the English CW scenarios at the Easiest setting.

And thanks for creating the Playthrough!

I've been bad at this game for years.

I'm OK at Field of Glory II, but, the Historical scenarios in this game, even on Colonel, are often unbeatable for me. I lost the Tutorial scenario against the Transylvanians! I know how Flanking and other tactical nuances work, but, I am doing some things wrong.

Advice please? Thanks.

Import from Matrix/Slitherine into Steam

I bought the Rise of Persia module on the Matrix website but the game is on the Steam universe. I'm trying to find a way to import the module into Steam. Is there a method for doing this? Thanks.

He did a fine job designing these scenarios.

Re: Strategy & Tactics Guide needed.

Thanks to you all very much. I have already taken the time today to take your advice. May I please request advice on the particular matter of how to tell whether an enemy unit has enough APs to gain a flank on one of my units that I'm trying to position. If there is no game feature to tell me this i...

Strategy & Tactics Guide needed.

I could also use an "Undo Command" hotkey. I also need to count out how far in APs my units and AI units can move but I'd rather there be a game feature to show this rather than me computing it myself. I have purchased FoG II and I wonder if the requested materials are available for that g...

Re: Battles of Alexander the Great

Thanks! AND, I will add that over on the GoG gaming platform, not only is Great Battles of Alexander the Great available for PC play, but also the Caesar and Hannibal games. All three of these games are computer versions of the board wargames designed by Richard Berg. All three of these games are CH...

Re: Military History for Pike & Shot Period ?

Almost all of my study of military history concerns Napoleonic to Vietnam. My impression of military history from Ancients through 1700 is that details are often lacking and the historian is compelled to use conjecture more often than we'd like. Aren't I right about this? Think of the many battles f...

Re: Military History for Pike & Shot Period ?

I think that the reason why nobody has yet replied is because we simply do not know! It seems to me that the historical record for military history BEFORE the year 1700 is not very complete. When we look at the historical record for military history during the 1500s, it's rather scarce. I hope someb...

Re: Purchase sequence never offered discount.

Thanks again for the info.

I upgraded to Campaigns with no problem. The full price is really a great bargain here in the USA. Extensive quality conflict simulation offered for the price. Recommend highly.

Purchase sequence never offered discount.

I own basic P&S and only that with no add ons, and I have it on Steam.

Is the discount still available for Campaigns?

Also, my basic game is on Steam. I suppose it's possible to leave it there and place Campaigns off of Steam?

Thanks.
