Re: one possible bug and one suggestion
I have not reproduce the move bug as of yet. The moving of the combat screen is ok. I pointed out a new interface problem though : the unit in the noth-eastern most area (up and left) are hidden by the permanent menu shortcut overlay. It would be nice to find a better placement of the units or make ...

one possible bug and one suggestion
_ I have a German infantry unit in ISTRA on turn 20, it cannot move to KOZLOVO. Actually it seem that in snow the german unit (all of them) cannot move to adjacent forest without a road to connect them. I did not find a rule supporting that. It seems wrong. Edit : On second thought, I might have ove...

Re: Hot Fix Needed ASAP
Ian,
Several rules are not implemented correctly that severely change the gameplay (like no soviet breakthrough in snow).
The developer have solved the problem but the hot fix is still not implemented.

Re: bug? no soviet exploitation in snow
The AI is not bad and I love the idea of having AI behave differently for difficulty (instead of cheating) or change of pace.
But for Zhukov not leaving a unit in Moscow is a very beginner mistake.

Re: bug? no soviet exploitation in snow
Thanks, I reduplicated the same trouble with German Armour in Ennemy at the gate scenario. The bug was with the armour not the mechanized. Another very minor bug, I got the Barbarossa success by taking Moscow in Ennemy at the gate scenario... By the way, the Zhukov AI is making the same mistake (Zhu...

Re: bug? no soviet exploitation in snow
No for the breakthrough, I read the other way round. Rule 10.1 on weather is clear. This is the Axis unit that cannot breakthrough. The soviet can. My undersstanding is that the German was at disadvantage on snow and the soviet advantage (the history description implied the T-34 was more at ease on ...

Re: bug? no soviet exploitation in snow
Yes, turn 19, Serpukhov, weather is snow. The nazi germany infantry unit is destroyed in one round prepared offensive. The soviet armour, undamaged, cannot make a breakthrough as it should. Another partial bug may be : I put a soviet tank brigade as reinforcement in Kurk, I want to activate it but i...

bug? no soviet exploitation in snow
During the zhukov counter attack scenario, my soviet tank don't seem to be able to do any exploitation when destroying german unit.
I need to double check that. Does other people have encounter this problem?

Re: Difficulty
You have a chance to win : it is either to do better than history or actually win against all odds. There are game were winning is not possible, they are fun too. My point was to have an "Historical Difficulty Setting" for Historical battle and a "Neutral Difficulty" setting for ...

Re: Difficulty
Just curious - why would you have battles in the game that are very one-sided at the standard difficulty level? Where is the fun in that? You failed to see the point. The fun is in the experience and exploration. I use historical wargame to understand history so at some point I need to be able to p...

Re: Difficulty
Thank for the answer. Could you consider to have an indication of which difficulty should be used to play the Historical battle as it was?
I really want to play the historical battle as they were not at a given difficulty level.
The campaign have a default no bonus for every one difficulty or not?

No, Battle Isle has a far lesser random factor. But all fix starting position tactical scenario is a puzzle.Igorputski wrote:It just doesn't feel like a wargame to me. It feels too much like a puzzle game. Remember "Battle Isle" that's what it reminds me of only worse.

Re: ABOUT THE DICE ROLLS
Matrix/slitherine have lots of game that are closer to squad leader. I can suggest you some. What I like with the attempt with "Heroes of Normandy" is that they transpose the boardgame to computer as it is. This is good because : 1/ good way to play when you are alone 2/ good way to learn ...

Re: ABOUT THE DICE ROLLS
Waltero I see that it was a good move to wait before answering as I have seen your post evolved. I think your recent addition is the point, you feel the dice in this game. In risk you play a statistical game with a lot of roll, each one with nearly the same importance. Here you play less dice but th...

Re: ABOUT THE DICE ROLLS
All this is nice, but this would not be "Heroes of Nomandie". I don't necesseraly like it, but this is a game of dice.
