Morbio wrote:Peter,

Regarding the modifiers for an Inspired Leader. Is this based on the ability to have one (i.e. available in the army list) or whether the army itself has one?

I'm assuming the former because it is difficult for you to know otherwise.

Thanks for all your efforts,
Morbio
No it's the latter - I ask & trust the player at the time of the siege. With hidde he had forgotten that some nasty foreigner had played Curse Thine Enemy event on him.

Makes inspired leaders in a defending army, where you have a city, an attractive idea. With one you are safe against treachery unless morale is red.

Just a note to say Rome has ceded its plague infested province of Samnium (?) to me and that our war is over.

If I end up seiged in one of my cities, can I try to raise a new army and send it to relieve the city?

When was the area conceded please?

Gray just PM'd me - he conceded the area about an hour ago which is several hours after Fall started. Therefore he gets the income this Fall & not you deeter I'm afraid.

See now you know why he dragged out the negotiations whilst offering you all that wine & those women

No - you can only call on an ally (& just the one ally) to send a relief army.

Ditto the question on carry-over battles, specifically second round battles where challenge has been issued but not yet accepted. Can those armies be reinforced, or are the previous reduced levels still in effect? (I don't want my existing reduced-army second round challenge accepted by a full-strength reinforced opponent).

Yoah, you are giving me too much credit for machiavellian politics! Deeter actually pm'd a challenge prior to you declaring the season over... I told I needed til i got home to ponder the issue... The only reason i was considering the forgone battle was to have somehing to do, figured the season might drag on a couple more weeks..
maybe you can flip a coin, or decide based on whom made the most charitable donations to the gods last build season to see who gets the income :)
Cheers!

Please decide between yourselves - was the area conceded before or after the Fall season was declared. I need to know for the taxation calc.

PG:

In order to attack/invade someone, you need to be either adj to them or have passage through a neighbour to get to them. Is that the same in return? If I get perm. from Mouser to move through Roman land to attack someone on the other side of him (just and example, juusst an example!!)...and I end up losing the battle(s) and retreat home, am I safe from counterattack if said enemy has no route to me with perm. to pass through a neighbour in order to get to me???

I think the great one needs to decide, for after all, the season just ends ubruptly, people cant be watching the boards 24 7
to do their moves etc, also players are on differnt time zones, have differnt hours of the day they can actually make moves and or plans....
Also, you do allow players who conclude battles after the season changes to continue as if they were in the old season for a second battle..... Time dilation should be for all such matters to be consistant....

Anyways , whatever, give him the dough , maybe it will have plague spores on it.

In your example you are safe unless your opponent gets permission

I did decide but you questioned it - always open to ideas me.

No idea what you mean by time dilation - any battle results posted after the Seasonal phase are in the next season, irrespectve of when they were started. No other way to do it effectively with so many players and battles on the go :)

I know , I guess i am shooting myself in the foot , but i hate bureacratic techicalities
Give him the income as the spirit is that I was likly going to concede before you ended the season..

Time dilation: When you defeat the Armenians twice in a battle and while waiting for the Great One to post the new figures for battle # 3 and then are told , season over and must start all over at full ap's because if "you cant make your opponent concede after 2 battles , oh well" :D

Keep in mind I am a very sarcastic person and my griping is in good nature, maybe...
