Re: League Tables
Your committee is still working heroically on your behalf
to get these tables right for this competition. We are using a facility called Creately which is very good once you get the hang of it. If you look at the tables in Higher Middle Ages then that is how they will all eventually look.

The list you do not want to be on . . .
Rule 3: Participation in the League includes the sentence, "Players must register their first result in each section they have entered within one month of the opening of the tournament or they may be replaced by a player from the reserve list."
On Wednesday this week the committee will be publishing a list containing the names of players who have not yet fulfilled this requirement in the competition. It will not be a very big list as the vast majority of players are already in compliance with Rule 3. But for those who are not we are giving you a fortnight's notice to rectify the situation - this should be sufficient time for you to start a match and get it completed by October 31st. If there are still some players who are not in compliance by October 31st then there is a very real prospect that you will be replaced in the competition by a reserve. Please do not try and call our bluff because we are not bluffing here.
There are some exemptions to this Rule 3 requirement. If you are a player who has entered the Eternal Empire themed event and/or if you are playing in the quarter-finals of The Slitherine Trophy then you are exempted from this ruling with regards to Classical Antiquity, Early Middle Ages and High Middle Ages. The reason for the exemption is that the Eternal Empire themed event and The Slitherine Trophy have very rigorous time controls attached to them that require players to prioritise those matches. Any matches in the Eternal Empire event group stages not completed by November 3rd will be adjudicated though.
There are also one or two players who have played just one match which they lost heavily and since then there has been silence. The committee is aware of these players and we will be trying to contact them to see if they intend to continue in the competition.

Re: Classical Antiquity: post your results here . . .
Most of the players there are playing in the Eternal Empire section and/or The Slitherine Trophy quarter-finals so a slow start was to be expected in this division. We are going to set Eric on you all shortly so that will liven things up a bit!Jonathan4290 wrote:Wow A division really has not played very many games compared to rest of league.
