Re: Field of Glory II - The Divisional Championships (TDC)-Rules
I meant that in the imperial era competition, a significant proportion of the battles have already been played, I think that in a week or two they will all have been played at this rate.

Div E
mcfcivo - Macedonian 328-321BC 34%
defeated
verseaux - Macedonian 320-261 with greek 280 - 228 allies 62%
A big phalanx slog in the centre from which mine came out on top ...just, luckily the enemy cavalry spent most of the game pursuing after finishing off mine!

random27 Byzantine 551-578 with Arab Bedouin defeats Morat Visigoths 419-621 w Byzantine 45-17
The two armies were facing and were very similar , a flank charge of the c and c byzantine , created a gap in the visigoth line and that was the beginning of the end for them
Thanks for the game

Division E
Kashtronomical - Median 836-627 BC with Assyrian 681-609 BC allies
defeats
mcfcivo - Macedonian 328-321BC
44-17
A vast open field with a river cutting off the left side forced the Medians to rely heavily on their cavalry who did not disappoint. A race to secure the right flank resulted in disaster for the Macedonians who found their cavalry surrounded and routed before their wide line of superior infantry could catch up to the action.
Good game Andy!

Zawzgrzyt Polish 966 - 1057 AD with Viking 900 - 1049 allies defeats IMC Indian (Rajput) 650-1049 AD & Indian (Hindu North) 54-7 (107-7)
The Polish brought a similar number of archers to the battle as the Indian, but they had a decisive advantage in the infantry and enough cavalry to stop the enemys cavalry. The elephants may have been troublesome, but the archers did not miss this time and none of these beasts entered the fight unharmed.
Thanks for good game.

Re: Field of Glory II - The Divisional Championships (TDC)-Rules
Ah, OK, I understand. 180 games need to be completed in Imperial. I make it 29 games have been completed, which is good as it is close to 16%. 151 games not yet completed?anderarcos11 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 7:45 pm I meant that in the imperial era competition, a significant proportion of the battles have already been played, I think that in a week or two they will all have been played at this rate.

Re: Field of Glory II - The Divisional Championships (TDC)-Rules
I will post a full summary of the section and divisions over the weekend. 83 games have been started of which 30 have finished as of when I checked earlier today.ericdoman1 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 1:29 amAh, OK, I understand. 180 games need to be completed in Imperial. Re: Field of Glory II - The Divisional Championships (TDC)-Rules
At this point only 30 out of 180 games are finished. 83, just less than half, of the games have even started. For the section, players have started on average just over 4 games. Some players play faster and finish up all their games early, some play more slowly, particularly if they are playing in several sections, and finish up around the deadline. There are usually a handful of games that don't get finished by the deadline and have to be adjudicated. As Eric pointed out earlier, the time frame was used for 12 seasons in DL and we've simply carried on with it in TDC.anderarcos11 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 7:45 pm I meant that in the imperial era competition, a significant proportion of the battles have already been played, I think that in a week or two they will all have been played at this rate.

Re: Field of Glory II - The Divisional Championships (TDC)-Rules
Okay. I understand, my calculations were wrong. It may be that the divisions I play in have advanced faster and I have that impression.
Re: Field of Glory II - The Divisional Championships (TDC)-Rules
That's true; Div D has started the most games, 25 so far and has completed 10, trailing Div C which has completed 13. Each division has 45 games, so there is a ways to go yet.anderarcos11 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 6:41 am Okay. I understand, my calculations were wrong. Re: Field of Glory II - The Divisional Championships (TDC)-Rules
I have time right now, so if you want, I could help by filling in the stats.
Re: Field of Glory II - The Divisional Championships (TDC)-Rules
Thanks, but no need. The stat's are up-to-date at the moment; the spreadsheet calculates most of the stuff from the data entered for each match. I'm merely waiting till the weekend to give a little more time for any nearly ended games to get posted and added. As it's rather early, not everyone has completed a match, so the initial tables are going to be a bit sparse.anderarcos11 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 7:49 am I have time right now, so if you want, I could help by filling in the stats.

Div B
Zawzgrzyt Georgian 1118-1144 + Seljuq Turkish (West) defeats markleslie Bohemian 1050 - 1154 AD 66-38 (88-38)
Unusual battle, Bohemian knights were quick and fierce, archers fired without missing. My cavalry army scattered with great losses, like leaves blown away by the wind. My infantry contingent was almost completely wiped out and the defeat was in the air. But when the dust settled, it turned out that the enemys knights are exhausted and the arrows in their quivers are running out ... my warriors returned to take bloody revege.
Thanks for exiting game

Division C
Sgt0gre (English w/Scotts) defeated Afromullet (Berber (Murabit) w/ Andalusians) 48-21
A good scrum across some pretty ugly terrain. Some luck on the English side allowing some troops to hold just long enough to allow the Huscarls to do their job.
Good fight and closer than the score.
