Trust me having used one against Alasdair last year I thought I did well to take even 2pts off him. Those horse are up on impact and if they don't disrupt the foot T impact they just break off in the JAP! All the while artillery and dragoonz are making a mess of them and horse getting around the flanks.
If Nigel gets more than 2pts he'll have done better than me!![]()

I think I'm the one been roped in... He challenged me, nothing to do with me being driver and we get down town soonerspotteddog wrote:
IIRC Alasdair dropped 18 points last year so a couple of flesh wounds administered by doctor Nigel will equal the best any of the rest of us could do last yeargibby wrote:Not even close to what I'm taking although like you I can't make my mind up.
Although I'm not sure it matters anymore given that you now have 25 points in the bag so everyone playing catch-up all weekend.
I was thinking that anyone invoking or accepting a nemesis challenge should drop their best score instead of their worst score.
cheers

IMHO thats more than just possbile as Nigels army looks like it could be quite handy against a mounted army. Hmmmm - has Alasdair just been roped in?
Of course in the unlikely event I beat him... He may be able to drop that score so technically, I didn't
We can all pick on the Aussie as paddy's clearly going to beat him anyway...
remember my version is not the sensible "Ben" version

For those from the same club, you definitely won't play each other in the first two games. After that I'll try to avoid it if possible for the next two, but if there's a clump of people from the same club in the overall standings there's no real alternative. For example, if the four Scotties were 1-4, that would mean involving everyone down to 8th in the fix, which is OK for round 2, but starts to get really messy after as you also have to keep people apart who have played before.

"For the record" so to speak and ties in with Kevin's comments: Alasdair is oxford, I am Southampton and live local. I haven't been a member of oxford for about 2yrs now. So that's that ticked. Alasdair has mentioned off line that my army will not be walk over for him. So where there are concerns of a nememis game causing a 25-0 easily, people had better make sure a they get 25pts so they aren't playing catch up against me

That sounds good to me Kevin. Don't worry about the 4 Scots being 1 to 4 after 3/4 rounds. More likely 1 (the master of foot) will be in the top 4 and the other 3 in the bottom 4kevinj wrote:For those from the same club, you definitely won't play each other in the first two games. Didn't even know you were an exoxfordian Nigel. I for one do not have any concerns regarding your nemesis game. I am sure you and Alasdair will have a great game and I reckon you will do as well as any of us (and better than me, 0-25 in the game I played him) against the horned devil.nigelemsen wrote:"For the record" so to speak and ties in with Kevin's comments: Alasdair is oxford, I am Southampton and live local. Enjoyed a practice run out against paddy's army... Very interesting to see the samurai on the board... Yes paddy did win in the end, but a few very good pointers picked up

Gerries is still in one of the 3
