It's described that the mud of the battlefields at Ypres would swallow men and horses whole! Lots of modding fun right there!

Even 3rd Ypres mud won't stop the mighty stormtroopers!

If I would make an update of the trenchlines, I would choose a more wider style, like Massis part but with a kick more realism:

More sandbags, observation posts, direction and warning shields, some barbed wire parts and very important: wooden lattice on the ground/at the side walls!

Could you make all of this, except for the barbed wire (which is its own unit) please? I am waiting on SOME improvement to the graphics before resuming work on Liege 14, considering everyone made such a fuss over it. Your reward will be the removal of all stormtroopers from your house and neighbouring areas (until you forget to post on one of my forums again  )

Before I could make additional units and other stuff, I wanted to give an topic startscreen for that new important mod from BNC.

Here is an example:

BNC: If you like it, then send me your private mail address please, so I can send the big picture in the right size.

Outcome screens could follow...

Greetings!

GC 14 is looking at a May release, so what will be made by then from the list? All stuff not added in GC 14 will still be added when GC 15 is ready (about a month later):

Fokker D VIII
Albatros C III
Nieuport 11
Nieuport 24
SPAD S VII
SPAD S XIII
Airco DH 2
Airco DH 5
Bristol F2B
Sopwith Pup
British and Russian Inf '14-'18 (all can use the same)
French Inf '16-'18 (maybe the same as the British '14?)
New trench graphics
A useable version of the 1914 French Inf (I don't think this has been done yet - otherwise I haven't found it)

Whats up Land Marine...so sad about the missing trench lines...? Don't panic...they will follow after tiles for no mans land...and barbed wire parts (I need that also for my own battlemap). It's a hard work to make a really new stuff for a better battlefield appearance, so I need time to get a satisfying result.

In the meantime here comes a camo variant for the captured british Mark tank for German duty:

Interesting to know: In reality there were more captured Mark tanks in duty for the German troops than the original German tank A7V.

Happy Easter to ALL! :)

East Prussia and Tannenburg will be done soon, but I will find it annoying having to go back and redo the trench graphics.

Not sure about the schedules and stuff, but for me, these new graphics are making it look and feel more like WWI all the time. Who knows, if this keeps up, I may have to take a trip back in time.

Yes indeed, now the stromtroopers get some extra fire-power to kick some ***! Not that they were undergunned, though... :D

After the barbed wire and grenade craters comes the No Mans Land, a horrible wasteland full of dead bodys, dangerous ammunition crap and other things...made some experiments with the overlays:

Great idea, but will you be able to make it blend more with the background, so it doesn't stand out so much? Also, I would like the full overlay edits to be done soon, before I get too far through the scenarios (otherwise I have to go and essentially remake them to add the new graphics - units can be chucked in at any time, including as an add-on with GC 15 or later)

Hi BNC,

Yes, blend into is very important but not so easy...in reality No Man comes 1916 fist time, so I have some time to make it ready.

Next I will try to make the new trench lines.

Btw. Do you use also the observer/recon balloon? I could make the F/GB version also.

Recon balloons aren't really a feature, with the exceptino of the zeppelin unit. AI is too silly to use them anyway

Also, No-Mans-Land would first be featured in the Loos scenario of GC15, so not quite as long as you would first think. Probably an oversight because Kaiserschlacht had no West Front actions in 1915.

Can't wait for the new trenches.

Those AI are really dumb with the whole "Let's spy on the enemy" idea. Who doesn't want free intelligence.
I guess the AI aren't programmed with that.
