Thanks guys. Btw the tool is ready if you want it, but as mentioned all Allied Corps units have no transports available since I don't know how the game interpretes the equipment files here, according to the rules that I'm familiar with, none of those units should have any transports. if that is ok for you and you want to use it for the other campaigns in the mean time and don't want to wait let me know. I would personally prefer to wait for this though. but you are the users. I always have the ability to use the latest version whenever I want so I don't really count.

As for the looks, that's merely a nice to have. Decided on updating the looks while I was doing the REAL upgrade. You see the "generate unit reports" dialog? Stuff like that is now a lot easier. I can now add all kinds of dialogs a lot easier and I can also add new screens and functionality a lot easier. The change in the internal architecture of the app makes that possible so I'm very happy with that, even though you will probably never even notice :) But it's a lot easier to entertain new ideas now, which is why I'm happy to have gotten this done finally :)The good thing is, if I ever go away and leave this tool I will of course offer the source code. but even without it, the application is already pretty much plugin-capable, so basically everyone could write a plugin (a new "tab") for this right now, put the dll in there, and it would work. All you'd need to know is a few APIs in the code to do that. so that's another nice thing to make sure this can still be extended later without me :) But don't worry, I plan to keep an eye on this one as long as I'm personally using it myself.

Uses the new 1.20 rules for now. No support for the old rules (1st of all I don't know the old XP rules, 2nd I'm assuming nearly everyone is playing with the new ones anyway. You'll be amazed how strong your units get by XP bonuses alone :) )

Since it seems the AC equipment file will be updated, I'll leave the tool as is for now, assuming selection of transports will be possible for those units after the patch.

Sadly the new version is not working for me: after starting the exe a standard error msg pops up and than quits the program.
I'm using Win XP.

Please check whether you have all PzC files copied, the tool needs additional files now, check the first post. It needs a few more pzdat files from the data folder.

Thanks for the advice now it works.
Wow it looks...fantastic!!!
Also the army structure window fits better in 4:3 monitors - now I can see all information of the selected unit.
I use still the old rules (because of campaign balance - it is designed for 1.14 rules and at Rommel level everything counts... 8) ) but I don't know how it influences the units in the Tool.

Thanks! It was through hard battles earned  8)
Maybe I understand what you meant with new experiences: see I right that the gained xp is also calculated in the values of the units at the /Hierarchy/Data screen? If yes than it is more than genial!

yes the bonus is in the Unit Data and Hierarchy/Data screens. The only difference is that the hierarchy/data screen color highlights any value that is influenced by bonuses. I figured that just giving the base values was pretty useless, you can always see those in the game itself. if you want to compare units or find out which one has the best hard attack, you want to do that with the numbers that the game will use in combat, not some theoretical base stats that the unit had 20 scenarios ago.

Unit Data Table doesn't let you select/highlight multiple rows anymore :(

When generating unit reports it throws and exception.
Something like this: "The thread that makes the call cannot access this object because the owner is another thread."
Seems that it only happens when unit data (under hierachy tab) has been edited.

Didn't think that was needed, easy fix. I'll put that back in.

I'll look into this, can you give me a step by step way to reproduce this? Thanks.

I found one issue: if in eqp file there are several unit names with the same names (for example "Toldi I" - first in tank role than "Toldi I" in recon role) than the units can be choosen in the Tool but after reloading it does not remember the selection. There are units where I don't want to give another names because of given reasons.

UPDATE: Download Version v1.0.4921.25637 here

All bugs should be fixed. Unit Data screen now allows multiple row selection again. Sorry for the inconvenience, with such a big overhaul a few bugs were bound to slip through my net.

@Uhu: The tool was just unable to load those two Toldi version correctly (a bug), it should have saved them correctly though. So if you just load your dossier with the new version the reports should be correct. (Unless you saved again after a failed load without re-selecting the equipment)

@Everybody: You don't need to make screenshots of error messages. The tool automatically copies an error message to the clipboard. So if you just go to a text editor after seeing one and select "paste", the text of the error should be there. Just for convenience so you don't always have to make pictures.
