Re: Asahi: Imperial Japanese Army Campaign 1938-45 released!
Very nice...have played the first couple of games and doing ok...but got pounded pretty good by the soviet armor attack! and that air is pretty tough too. Looking forward to moving forward with the other games in the campaign!
Thanks!
Thanks!

I suggest using Dropbox. It's free and I've used it for all my mods. Easy to use and no-one has ever reported having difficulty getting a file that I've linked.bebro wrote:I can see to up it at mediafire tommorrow (I hope they accept bigger files - never tried). Gamefront changed its policy and is blocking some countries:
I don't advise using Dropbox, specially for large files. Use sendspace instead. It gives one moth after the last download. They warn by mail, a few days before they delete the files. So there's only the chance for us to make a download again and this way renew the hosting.
I would say that definitely ends any chance of us keep using their services for hosting files. It's a shame.Argentina

Why not Dropbox? - they never delete the files because they're your own, not theirs.
Re: Asahi: Imperial Japanese Army Campaign 1938-45 released!
I'm having a big problem loading it.
All I get is the regular DLC campaigns and German units.
I had to make a separate folder named Mod.
None of the other Mods need this folder like the Hungarian Mod.
I would suggest changing the configuration so a player doesn't need this folder.

Slow, problems with big size files, security....El_Condoro wrote:Why not Dropbox? - they never delete the files because they're your own, not theirs.

And what's worst, they don't offer any explanation. The moderators only say it was decide by the management. For me it's bye-bye.Chris10 wrote:Paulo...this list from gamefront is ...well...![]()

That gamefront list is really absurd.
I didn't get around to set up a mirror yet, real life came in the way. Will do over the next days.
Razz, sorry tohear you had trouble, but I'm a bit confused about the prob. There are two "mods" folders to deal with, one from GME in PzC's main install folder, the other under mygames/Panzer Corps etc. Didn't that work for you, or are you suggesting putting all into the GME/mods folder?
Because that's what I had with USMC early on it worked for me, but not for others. Since then I use basically the same method like El Condoro.

Re: Asahi: Imperial Japanese Army Campaign 1938-45 released!
I have the GME but I can't get it to work, this is my first time using the mod so can someone give me a step by step. I already had GME setup but getting this mod to work is proving really frustrating to me.
Re: Asahi: Imperial Japanese Army Campaign 1938-45 released!
Hi,
first question: did you setup GME as described in the first post here:
viewtopic.php?f=147&t=27158
Please post if you got that far without trouble, then I'll post further install help for the mod itself
You need to have this basic setup working before GM can be of any use.

hey bebro,
I also cannot dl your mod as I am unlucky enough to spend my well deserved holiday at home, in a country which is unfortunately on the black list (Hungary).
Now I have to wait another week to get back to the UK to download it...
Most annoying...

Re: Asahi: Imperial Japanese Army Campaign 1938-45 released!
I'm sorry to hear people have probs due to gamefront
I have set up a mirror at sendspace:
GME files: http://www.sendspace.com/file/yf2sb9 (ca. 190 MB)
Scenario files: http://www.sendspace.com/file/zwzyg6 (ca. 250 kb)
Make sure you click "Click here to start download from sendspace" to dl (somewhat below), the other buttons may lead to silly stuff.
Also, here are more detailed installation instructions
1. As mentioned, the first step is to have a working GME setup for Panzer Corps as described here:
viewtopic.php?t=27158
2. Download both the GME files AND the scenario files. Now they need to be unpacked and installed into the correct folders.
3. The unpacked scenario files belong into your system's my files/my games/Panzer Corps/mods/ path, please see pic below. On my machine that is under D:

4. The bigger download is the GME files. If you set up GME as described in (1), you should have a mods folder dedicated for GME in the main Panzer Corps installation. Copy/Extract the GME files in this folder as shown below.

4. Once you copied all into the right place, launch GME, and activate the IJA campaign. Just mark "IJA Redux" under available mods, press the activate button and wait a few seconds until it's done. GME should show it now on the right side, under activated mods.
Now close GME. (Deactivate the camapign again to play vanilla PzC or to activate other mods).

5. Start PzC, select New Game. The campaign selection comes up when clicking on the Japanese sun symbol, please see pic below.

Select "Asahi: IJA campaign..." to start the campaign. The next screen has the difficulty selection, then you go to the first scenario.
