Re: Britcon and Worlds 2012
For Worlds 2011 I sent an email acknowledgement to each person and published a rolling list of registrations which I update almost daily as the event drew closer. Its real easy if you are organised.

Look on the bright side. If the event was being held in South Africa, no-one would ever be told how many people had entered, who had won, or even what rules were being played....!

Re: Britcon and Worlds 2012
Some advice please for Britcon....
I have a few choices but not sure what to bring and help or guidance would be great......
Early
Spartan's (Yes 300 of them)
Post-Roman British (King Arthur)
Late
Low Countries
Abby.Egyptains
Not to sure about the smaller table in Early...

Re: Britcon and Worlds 2012
Take Spartans Pre 460BC George. Small table, hard as nails troops. You get some cheap LF to bulk it out as well. The thing you will miss is decent terrain troops, but you can get some early Thracians, which should hold the terrain for long enough if you skirmish well with the lights. May be worth taking a Thessalian ally to get some LH. Personal choice there.
Spartans can go through anything frontally. But you need to close down and delay the flanks.

Son David has asked me to post a request for an opponent for a friendly game on the Friday afternoon. He's got an army for the medieval period.

I can be a reasonably friendly chap Alan, providing the bar hasn't opened, or after it has then providing it hasn't closed. And more importantly will happily give David a game. I don't have far to travel so what does he wish to practice against?AlanCutner wrote:Son David has asked me to post a request for an opponent for a friendly game on the Friday afternoon. He wants a practice game with his competition army -he's not had much chance to use it so far. So anything suitable for the FoG-AM medievals.

Choose anything you like from the period - something you'd consider using in the period.
