The first. the restriction is not line by line, it is for the total army. When you have finished designing your army, a maximum of 50% of your total ROMAN MF+HF must be superior (average allies don't count)TheGrayMouser wrote:Hey D quick question re the below rule:

do you mean one can only take 50% of what the DAG allows on that line so 4.5 superior legions rounded up or down to 4 or 5.....
I hope it is the ist as its cleaner , and the romans will have some oddly balanced armies at higher AP levels (basically an army top heavy in leaders and superior cavalry, archers, lights)
Poor balance is more like at low Prestige, if you have to take poor units with a big points total...you can always take an ally, or accept it as the price for fighting at a 20% advantage, you poor thing...
