I disagree Phil, after all it was Ian who actually helped Dave to win something

Top Twenty UK Rankings for the end of April. These use the new ranking calculation as described in the thread called "UK Rankings are changing". Not that much different, apart from the aberation regarding Rob Taylor and Richard Collins. I am running simulations on how to rectify this matter.

Full rankings should be on the BHGS site shortly.

Code: Select all

How about excluding any competition where I finish in the top 3 or capping my points in any competition to a 50 point maximum?

Just trying to help........................

Why is it I am still shown mercenary?

I've always shown Wessex as my club - I know I've been caught taking bribes --- so is it just a perception thing?

The ranking spreadsheet doesn't give a monkeys what club you are in so Dave probably doesn't update them. Only comps care which club you are in so you don't play club members first day.

Club is also used in the rankings when you have two players with the same name. For example there are two Dave Allen's and two Graham Evans who are UK wargamers. There is, however only one Phil Powell...

He's very competetive

But opted out of this one

Competitions Ruddock could win

But it appears a New Zealander beat Ruddock to it

New Rankings have now been calculated and should be on the www.bhgs.org.uk website shortly.

Here is a quick taster:

Code: Select all

1 1 Graham Evans 6 99.15
2 2 Ian Stewart 10 99.04
3 3 David Handley 8 98.08
4 4 Dave Ruddock 8 94.42
5 6 Robert Taylor 12 92.59
6 5 Richard Collins 9 91.52
7 7 Peter Butler 5 87.79
8 12 Richard Jeffrey-Cook 9 82.60
9 10 Phil Powell 10 80.44
10 11 Peter Reilly 6 80.44
11 8 Wayne Dare 6 78.02
12 26 David Fairhurst 6 77.33
13 15 Bob Amey 7 75.47
14 16 Andy Ellis 5 75.38
15 17 Paul Johnston 6 75.26
16 27 Nik Sharp 6 74.94
17 14 Terry Shaw 5 74.92
18 21 Paul Longmore 5 74.90
19 24 Steve Clarke 5 74.42
20 20 David Bannister 9 74.26
Nice to see five MAWS players in the top twenty, although I must admit when I amended the way the rankings had been calcualted I didn't envisage seeing Messrs Taylor and Clarke at positions 5 and 19 respectively. I will be petitioning the PolitBureau at Britcon to have the old method re-instated. Bloody upstarts.

What have Rob and I done to upset him now..... I think Ruddock has wargamer's PMS, because he's only won 1 singles comp this year
