Also Oliver D vs Pete will be an interesting test of the relative merits of different nations.
My money is on Olivier! He's already thrashed me once.

Is that not a bit like insider dealing? A true anglo French battle as well though. Stout English bowmen against effete French knights.

Could be St Ralph the Liar's day though ...

Hammy, adding "it's all (my) fault" was redundant. Anyone who has been reading posts from Greater Manchester for any length of time knows it's always your fault - usually it is just a case of working out what is your fault... :)

hammy wrote:Shaun's record vs Brits

Britcon 09
24-1 vs Richard Young
17-3 vs Terry Shaw
3-17 vs Graham Briggs
1-24 vs Julián Lopez (there is a strong argument that Julian is actually Spanish)
24-1 vs Andy Kitcher
13-7 vs Keith Martin-Smith

IWC 10
7-13 vs Terry Shaw
7-13 vs Graham Evans with
2-23 vs Dave Ruddock with Bosporan
10-10 vs Keith Martin-Smith

Ignoring the game against Julian that would put Shaun on 2 wins, 2 winning draws, 1 draw, 3 losing draws and 1 defeat against Brits.
I do have dual nationality but you're more than welcome to manipulate the statistics as you see fit.

My win against Shaun was due to army match-up rather than our relative skills. IIRC he used 20 BGs of mostly 4 element skirmisher BGs with two allies. There wasn't an awful lot he could do against 60 longbows but he certainly tried his best.

That is an extremely generous offer Paul - and I hope you won't be offended - but given your luck whilst wearing it in the past - I will politely decline. :)

I am jealous that you all are going to have a lot of fun.

Hopefully our boy Iverson will prove his mettle and the validity of Hammy's excessively subjective seeding system.

I'm fairly sure Hammy was just setting me up for a humiliating fall.

He does that to us all Matt but when you're widely known as Matt 'The King' Iverson then 2nd Seed may not be doing you justice? :)

I hope you have a really great weekend - but please keep your Santa Claus boys away from me - especially those nasty sword and buckler men.

But I painted up new ones just for you! (Actually, I painted up new ones because the old ones proved incapable of passing shooting CTs...)

Seriously, I've been looking forward to this for quite a while and meeting folks I've only known online. See y'all in about 14 hours . . .
