Not looking good for the Danes. The Hun is more wiley, has more quality and certainly more fire power.

Re: BALTIC CAMPAIGN AD 1735
AD 1737
Encounter Battle in Holstein
Prussian – Danish 41% - 52%
Prussian marginal victory
Trampling in the damned Danish mud the Prussian army was halted by the enemy in front of a wood that covered the center-right of the battlefield. Shrewdly using this natural obstacle, the Danish commander prevented a better deployment of his Majesty's army, that was obliged to gather in two small lateral areas, where it was roughed up by deadly musket volleys. A tremendous carnage ensued that was finally resolved only at the point of bayonets, giving the Prussian a marginal victory.
Having taught the Danish crown the lesson it deserved to learn, the Prussian army then retreated to its winter quarters.

AD 1737
Open Battle in Brandenburg
Prussian – Danish 36% - 50%
Prussian tactical victory
The Danish army, proudly marching to Berlin believing that no one could stop it, was checked by the Prussians led by their King on a plain near the capital city. After a deadly encounter - during which the left of his Majesty army was almost wiped away by a ferocious Danish charge, before the cavalry was able to stabilize and reverse the situation - the enemy was repulsed with losses under heavy artillery fire.
In memory of the battle, many Danish standards stolen from the fleeing enemy now adorn the Prussian Royal residence

Re: BALTIC CAMPAIGN AD 1735
My internal stability should be 4 not 3. You have deducted 2 points for my taxation when it should be 1.
Everyone else did requisition and dropped 2 and their stability is correct.

Re: BALTIC CAMPAIGN AD 1735
That's right, Sir.
I've amended the mistake and accordingly ricalculated the amount of VPs.
In the meantime, regarding the fact that your last action (Garrison) couldn’t be taken for lack of money (you had only 5.000 Th instead of the needed 7.000), I take the opportunity to clarify that, when in the rules is stated that "if the Treasury goes negative (e.g. – 10.000 Th.) the Nation loses 1 Internal Stability Level and a Taxation or Requisition Action is immediately mandatory at the first available occasion", it refers only to the situation when, after the moves, a player has to pay some money as the consequence of a defeat.
It doesn't mean that you can make some Actions in deficit.
So that, if after three Actions a player has 10.000 Th., he is not allowed to build a Minor Fortress in deficit.
While, if after four Actions, he has 5.000 Th. and incur in a Strategic Defeat, he will be forced to run a deficit, in order to pay the enemy the 16.000 Th. owed to him and, at the beginning of the next turn, he will be obliged to make a Taxation or Requisition Action.

SWEDEN
Turn 3
1. Taxation
2. Propaganda
3. Minor Fortress - Gotland
4. Truce - Poland
Sweden chooses an Encounter battle for Smaland.
The Swedish people always welcome our cousins in Denmark, and, what we can take from them. Our arms are open wide, our embrace warm and comforting.
Oh and some coin for the Poles so they can keep the lights on over Christmas.
Trust in God, trust in blood, trust in iron.

The Polish people acknowledge and accept the most generous Christmas gift given by their brothers in Sweden.
If only our other neighbours were so friendly and generous the World would be a happier place.

Good God Sir the hills, the hills!
If your unfamiliar with the lay of the land then perhaps you should rethink this venture before the inevitable inquiries and recriminations that will follow this coming debacle besmirch the honour of the Danish royal house and above all it's judgement in matters of great import.
I've taken the liberty of setting up the correct encounter for you to attend at your leisure.
Open Battle - Encounter

Re: BALTIC CAMPAIGN AD 1735
The King of Prussia observes with dismay how even the perfidious Saxons, already invited to a benevolent agreement in the past, have instead joined the plot against the House of Hohenzollern.
Nonetheless, faithful to his pacifist attitude and supported by the loyalty of his people, he will limit himself to defending his possessions without dragging other nations into the vortex of war.
However, let everyone know that, in due time, every debt will be paid!
That said, the King of Prussia:
1) orders a Taxation to sustain the war effort
2) strengthen the resolve of the country making Propaganda
3) orders the construction of a Minor Fortress in Prussia
4) send a Garrison in Prussia to patrol the border with Poland

Poland's move
1/ Requisition funds from our loyal subjects
2/ Propaganda to maintain the loyalty of our loyal subjects
The building of fortifications is a sign of the lack of trust the Prussians have with Poland and must be responded to;
3/ Attack from Lithuania into Prussia
4/ Reinforce the above attack
While the peaceful people of Poland deplore the need for force in the disputed region this action has been forced on us by the provocative actions of the perfidious Prussian

Re: BALTIC CAMPAIGN AD 1735
It is evident, states the King of Prussia, that the arrogance and malice of Poland, Denmark and Saxony no longer have a brake, so much so that these lovers of lies now cloak themselves in the false concept of peaceful aggression to cover their unworthy misdeeds.
Only Prussia and Sweden have so far maintained a peaceful attitude and it is therefore time for these two proud peoples to enter into an alliance aimed at dissuading the aggressors from further undue offensive actions.
We therefore invite the Lion of the North to our royal residence, trusting that this meeting can be used to discuss the details of a treaty that guarantees peace and prosperity to Sweden and Prussia!
