Geffalrus (Antigonids) defeats markleslie (Ptolemies) 42-0

Bit of a weird game where multiple units on both sides decided to fragment when charging into relatively safe odds (15-70-15 situation). Victory came to the Antigonids in part because their formation interwove cavalry in with the phalanx, allowing them to exploit vulnerable units and zoc protect fragmented allies. The presence of rough ground protecting both flanks of the battle forced the Ptolemaic cavalry to take the long way around to outflank the Antigonids. Good game to my opponent.

I got lucky. The Thracian attack was hampered by a bog before a hill in the center of my line that was 1 of 2 hills that my army was deployed on. His Cav failed to break my right and my elephants on my left broke his right.

This was a hard fought battle. The center held 2 hills, on the 1st hill my Roman infantry deployed and held off ferice charge by his Roman infantry. His right flank pushed forward with his Cavalry leading the way. His Cavalry was hit hard on the flank from my lights and mixed infantry units while engaged. My center held despite heavy pressure, one unit of elite infantry was pressed 4 to 1 and even hit in the flank before they eventually routed, by then it was to late, his Cavalry was routed and the flanks broken. A great game forsure, well played by my opponent.
