Division 3
rexhurley (Numidian/Moorish 341-56BC) defeats Greekiraklis (Ptolemaic) 61/55
Full 24 turns, down by 20 half way in thanks to good play, lots of Raw Pike Blocks supported by Cav, then the game became fragmented and it begun to turn. My opponent thought we wouldn't get to 60 on either side but there you go, a close run thing and I will admit 10 turns in I thought I was screwed.
GG not because I won but the manner in which it was played in. Thank you G.

Div 2
Morat (Visigothic 419-621 + Byzantine ) beat Garokan (Romans 425-492 + Germanic Foot Tribes) 65-42
Visigoths tried to tie down the left flank on a series of low hills and use their horse in the centre and on the right. Initial significant success was then followed by a great Roman fight back. But in the end the warbands just held out until the returning horse could carry the day.
Thanks to Garokan for a good game - which was hard fought throughout.

Division C Table
greekiraklis is proving a competitive (and fast) player in his first TDC season. rexhurley 2 wins from 2 is no slouch either.
If you have any old challenges that have not yet been accepted (don't think there are many) then unless your opponent has contacted you it is worth sending another PM as they may have missed/forgotten your challenge.

Re: TDC V Classical Results
I plan to put tables up once there have been enough results in to warrant it. Once the first 9 matches have been completed in a division I will post the first table and then a bit more frequently after that (maybe after 5 or so more results have been recorded).

Division 4
gfs26 [Carthaginian (Hannibal in Africa) 202 BC w Numidian allies]
defeats
DIVM [Roman 199-106BC w Spanish (Iberian) 300-10BC allies]
score : 61-32
While carthaginian cavalry was in difficulty, elephants and a strong infantry attack on the right flank were decisive for the win !
The centre was contested, while roman army was almost winning on the left flank, but not so fast to compensate the other flank defeat. Roman infantry underperformed (this is unusual), while their cavalry did very well.
A though battle, well played by my opponent!

Cherebuschka with the Dabuyid 642-760 defeat Bagatrix1805 with its Dailami 928-1055 + Armenian 885-1045 allies
Final score 56-60
Very close game that could have gone either way until the very end.The dailami were ahead most of the battle and almost won at the 40% threshold. Thankfully the superior number of units and cavalry of the Dabuyid started to wear down the dailami and the trend reversed slowly. Well played Bagatrix

Division 2 early Medieval
Cherebuschka with the Granadine 1232-1319 and their Berbers (Marinid) allies defeat the Turkish army of 1299-1361 under the command of mcfcivo
Final score 11-40
The battlefied was cut from one fourth due to a large stream both army stretched as much as they could. The light foot and massed archers of the ottoman occupied a rough ground where they held well against a large opposing force of the foot soldier of the Granadine army.
Both cavalry met in an open plain and there the light cavalry pinned down a lot of the horse archers allowing the melee to ensue which favored the Granadine.
It was a though match up for a mcfcivo, well played

Div 3
Alexmike1 German SE 1200-1319 w Polish 1200 beat ulysisgrunt Anglo-Norman 1072-1154 AD w Welsh(North) 1100 40-7
The Germans used the heavier armour on their knights (mounted and foot) with all the subtlety of a rhino to bludgeon through on a battlefield narrowed by woods and rough terrain. A brave stand by the Norman battle standard held up the outflanking movement.
Thanks again for the game.

GDod Syro-Canaanite 1207-1100 w/ Egyptian 1200-1150 allies defeats anderarcos11 Lydian 687-551 BC 62-55
Basically, a slugging match with the Lydians reserving the heavy cavalry until the infantry had contacted. Thanks for the game
GDod Syro-Canaanite 1207-1100 w/ Egyptian 1200-1150 allies defeats lydianed Thracian (Triballi) 700-351 BC 42/14
The Thracians deserted their line and streamed towards a large forest on the Syrian left. The Syrians pulled back slightly until the rest of the army was in position. Then the Syrians counterattacked whilst their chariots rode down the unfortunate light cavalry and infantry left in the open. A sound tactic from the Thracians if the Syrians had rushed into the forest unprepared. An enjoyable game, thanks.

Rosedelio (Latin) defeats Questar17 (Hungarian) 64-53
The Latin approach towards the waiting Hungarian horse archers lead to many of archers getting run down. However, the Latins were able to defeat the Hungarian's own supporting foot archers. Once the Latins routed a mob of supportive peasants, the battle was over.
