Triarii Castille defeats Kroche Normans 41-11.
Apologies finished 12 days ago.
Tough break for the Normans where a Generals death next to a fragmented unit routed them and had a couple more important disruptions seeing off the Norman left unexpectedly at the same time as the Norman right was flanked.

Division A
Kroche (Norman 1041-1071AD w French 1050-1154AD allies)
defeated
Stew101 (English 1155-1271AD w Scots 1162-1319AD allies)
61-30
Both sides advanced on an open field, English had more of their cavalry on their left. Normans had slightly the better of the early clash in the centre, but that became a battle of attrition. Both sides were a bit light on the Norman left and each side caused some routs here, but neither could affect the battle in the centre. The English left crashed into the corner of the Norman right and threatened to break through multiple times, which would have likely rolled up the Norman centre. It was key that a unit of Norman Knights and a unit of dismounted Knights fought to the death, enabling the flank to hold and giving time for supporting units to defeat the English forces screening their main attack and also for the strong Norman centre to grind down the opposing troops there. GG

Division A
Kroche Albanian 1440-1478AD w Ottoman Turkish 1430-1500AD allies
defeated
Triarii Danish 1488-1500AD w German (Feudal) 1490-1500AD allies
61-57
This match swung one way then the other. Danes occupied a plateau to the far left of the field. Albanian cavalry advanced on the left with artillery support. Danes moved to occupy the slopes and the Albanian cavalry on the left were soundly defeated by the Danish medium cavalry of handgunners and crossbowmen supported by Swedish infantry and Danish Knights. The Albanians could not break through and then were cornered in the left of the map as the Danish cavalry moved forward to complete the victory there. The Albanian right which comprised of more cavalry and some medium foot had advanced to the plateau, defended by Danish medium foot and Swedish infantry. An even melee begun in this area between the skirmishers and crossbowmen of each side in and around some rough. Albanian cavalry faced off against the Swedish infantry guarding their left flank. The disaster on the Albanian left forced their right to try and break the deadlock with some uphill charges against the heavy infantry - eventually gaps were found which could be exploited by the Albanians. The victorious Danish right moved to support their left, but this meant some of their infantry had to engage in the unfavourable rough ground and an Albanian victory in this section became a possibility. Last couple of turns when each side had 50+ pts could have seen either side win and also a 60+ draw. Albanians prevailed in a very hard fought victory.
At the point of the Albanian left being demolished the Danes had crossed the 25 pt line, but the last melee of their turn saw an artillery unit routed by a unit of Albanian light horse to mean the match could continue. Rumours the Albanian commander had rage quit the field before turning his horse around following the success of the light horse will forever remain as that, just rumours. A very good match where one side can count themselves as unlucky as it gets not to win and the other side feels like they just won the lottery. GG
