My First Round opponent has not accepted my challenge. What should I do?
I have started chasing up players who have not started their matches but there is a limit to what I can do. I have recruited two reserves, one of whom has already been allocated a match. If you have not sent a PM to your opponent please do so asap as some players rely on these. Ultimately, if a player is a "no-show" and I have not got a reserve to replace them, the match will go to adjudication where the decision will be obvious. I expect to have a few matches like this in the First Round each time I run the tournament, but it is very rare for it to happen in subsequent rounds.

In addition, there is 1 match where I have no information at all, so I am going to send a PM shortly to try and get them started if they have not done so already . . .

Re: First Round chase-up . . .

Post by stockwellpete »

Right, 24 hours later and there are still 5 matches waiting to start in the multi-player lobby and there is one match (which has probably started) where I have no information at all.

So, the 5 players named second in those fixtures have their places in the tournament in jeopardy now. I am actively seeking replacements for them between now and the end of Sunday April 5th. If they turn up before I have found someone else then fine they can play, but as soon as I allocate someone else then they are losing their place. If I cannot find a replacement for a match by the end of Sunday then the match will be awarded to the player who has issued the challenge.

Tournament full again . . .

If you wish to enter the KO Tournament as a latecomer please post in this thread with the army that you wish to use in the tournament (with allies if desired). You will be allocated a match promptly and you will need to be available to start playing today.

Hi Stockwellpete,
I will help out if players are needed. I would play with the Babylonians with Mede allies that i have been using in the Biblical league. If you already have enough players not a problem.
Best regards, Lunecastle

There are now only 3 vacancies left, not 5. Both hscic and Doyley50 have been removed from the draw, but they can still re-enter the tournament as late replacements if either of them contact me before the other 3 places are filled. Obviously, they will have a different opponent from the original draw though. Just so you know, I held a mini-draw to allocate the first two replacements - lunecastle and Aetius39 - to their matches.

I have just allocated 2 matches to late replacements (lunecastle and Aetius39) who have applied today. That still leaves 3 matches to do . . .

hidde v wmpryor 30/3, PM sent
iandavidsmith v teltest 30/3, PM sent
Morbio v Hyde77 30/3, PM sent

hscic and Doyley50 have been removed from the tournament but can themselves apply to re-join as late replacements.

Hello Pete, i've nearly finished my DL games so i'll have a go if there's still a space. I'll pick Median (626-550BC) if that's OK, cheers, Mark.
