Stones1985 (Macedonian with Greek Allies) drew with Morat (Seleucid with Parthian Allies. The score was 58-58!

A brilliant game that ebbed and flowed and could have gone either way. In the end nightfall was the winner and robbed both sides of victory.

A really tough proposition against a tough phalanx army, The Indians had to shift sharply to the left to avoid being annihilated in open terrain, so for the first few turns there was a chase to catch the Indian army in the flank and rear. mcfcivo almost did it but slightly over extended into rough terrain after some Indian units were left to slow the chase. The Pikes had to split up to avoid the worst ground and there ensued multiple independent battles with the deciding factor being the swifter Indian cav and chariots.

Was a close battle largely won by avoiding melee with most phalanx units but eliminating all cav, skirmishers and three phalanx's at the end most heavy troops of Ptolemaic were intact.

division A continues to take shape, a shape with Eric at the top with 6 from 6. Other players are beating each other making it competitive for 2nd place. Two other players Nosy_Rat and Questar17 have not been beaten as yet and know what they need to do to move up to the top (win and not get beat). Kroche has moved into treble figures.

frederic02 has moved closer to the division leader Sennacherib and does look on course to take the title if he can keep up his performance in his remaining 3 matches. Hari72 has also had good results and, like frederic02, is unbeaten. Lynx57 has 3 wins from 7 and a win from his last match will make 4th place a likely finish. Bottom half of the current table have quite a few games to play so one or two players could lift themselves into contention with a good run.

We have a winner in Division C. Congratulations to Jtrillodmp who chased down anderarcos11's healthy total by winning his last two matches. There are still a couple of games left to complete in this division, but these will affect the lower half of the table.

Division B

SawyerK leading the Palmyran 258-273 AD army

narrowly defeated mh5064 and his Byzantine 551-578 AD army

by 61 to 53.

The close score indicates the brutal nature of the conflict where the Byzantine Horse Archers and Lancers shot to death the Palmyran's light foot but not before the latter inflicted a good bit of damage. With Massed Archers staying on rough ground or in woods, the Palmyrans managed to return the arrow fire to the point the Lancers were significantly weakened. By the latter stages of the game, all units were weakened close to their breaking point and the Palmyrans were fortunate to take home the win.
