Wow!. Soviet Corps is finally out, and most important (at least for me) the new stuff for PzC.
Today I started to add those units to my mod, a lot of work to do as I want to be as most accurate as possible (historically). I love some icons (that T-28
and RIP my BM-8
), but in some cases I prefer the community work.
My new update will come with A LOT of new stuff
. I expect to release it by end March/April.

Hello Akkula,
I have just installed version 1.6.
This time I was interested in the first campaign, so not the Great Patriotic War" (I finished with a draw under last version, I understood that Norway might be -despite the absence of railroad- an interesting path to reach Hamburg then Berlin...).
For the 2nd scenario in Finland, check the spelling of Finland in the scenario intro text file, it was misspelled like Fniland, something like that.
This being said I love this campaign too (choice of icons especially and scenario design : I feel like a Soviet general completely hopeless faced to Gemran invulnerable hordes). I have to defend Tallin now (at turn nr 1 I do not see the six civilian ships to move to zone "A", they will surely appear during the scenario...).
BTW if I save a game in Berlin for instance, could I use the saved game for your version 1.7 where there is a scenario against the Allies or should I better wait for the next release and restart a whole campaign ?
BTW I just discovered (never saw this under version 1.4 and version 1.5...) how to select standalone scenarios out of campaign framework. I admit it was not so easy to find the menu selection. I have not seen this either in the readme.txt file delivered with your package. Just for your information...

Regarding the campaign question: After Berlin you will go to Manchuria, the campaign doesn´t include the conflict against the Allies, just historical events.
Operation Unthinkable will be a stand alone scenario, playable as Allies or Soviets. I received many request to create a fictional post-war campaign, so maybe in the future

but they are there!.
I am working at full speed for version 1.7 which will be the best for sure: new scenarios, new units, big scenario with a lot of improvements (and fixes), campaign with some surprises added and more. I think it will worth to play it again

I don't want to be obliged to play a whole campaign just to start a specific scenario...
Indeed it could be also a scenario integrated in the campaign but it is clear to me it should be kept as standalone scenario in all cases.Then it does not have to be a stand alone one.

Hello guys.
The last update is about to be done and I expect to release it in the next weeks.
My objective is to fix 100% of the bugs and to improve many aspects of the mod including, unit icons improvements (many), new units and balance changes (some surprises specially for the Germans
)
5 new stand alone scenarios will be available also, among them the fantasy Operation Unthinkable.
The Great Patriotic War
One of the objectives of this version is to add more dynamism to this big scenario, to achieve this I lend on:
- Prestige (more rewards)
- More bridges on certain points to allow the flow of units around the map
- Additional airports on certain "black hole" areas
- Option to upgrade Guards air units added. Now you can have an elite hero flying a lethal Yak-3
- Some German units positioning to allow more "Blitzkrieg style" to the AI. The Russian-Finnish front also was reworked.
- Some more situation messages have been added.
Of course, a lot of bugs and errors have been fixed, most important the Italy attack mission, thats right comrades, now the attack on Rome is possible!.
And dont worry, I tried to keep the balance of the map regardless this changes/additions.
The Forgotten Campaigns
I aim to persuade the players to replay this campaign so I tried to add some new toys and bugs corrections.
- Some captured German tanks in certain scenarios added. Try to perform very well to discover them and add them to your core army!.
- Some other special units can be received as a reward if you achieve some hidden deeds (just like the previous point).
- Many corrections in many scenarios.
I am trying to polish some detailes (I will try to add two or three units for the Soviets, but not 100% sure, I cant promise) and even waiting if Bebro is going to work on the new Soviet air units

So, overall, I must say that for the first time I am satisfied with my work, this update will mark a step forward for this mod so I hope you guys can give a try.

Hello guys. Version 1.7 is out!
After a lot of work I finally decided to release my last update for a while. I will take a break from WW2 for a time.... my mind is overloaded
, this doesnt mean I will leave this mod forever, I still have to fulfill my promise for a German campaign but that would be in a future.
Of course I would release a new update if some serious bugs or glitches are found, but that is for now.
This update includes A LOT of changes / improvements / fixes / new content so I hope you guys will have some fun. I think that both campaigns deserve to be played again as I added many improvements to them, and the new standalone scenarios will deliver some challenges as well.
As always, thanks a lot for you support and I am open to receive any feedback you wish to share.

Man, thanks for the mod end especially Great Patriotic scenario.
U have managed to recreate the general way how really went ww2 in eastern fron. Leningrad , Moscow and Crimea, then Stalingrad and Kursk. All this is shown and programmed very detailed.
Total domination of Luftwaffe over soviet air forces for the first two years of war till La5 was put in to servise, Massive heavy punches of combined armour, inf and artyllery on a targeted direction, Smolensk and defence of Moscow, all that happend when i played this mod.
Really great job. Spent around 24 hours of non stop gaming this map. Lost the war by turn 70 ,total german domination in quility and quantity , Crimea and Moscow has been taken. Panthers everywhere.
Some thoughts how to improve:
Make at least 30-40 purchase units for USSR . It's really hard to resist germans. Allow AI to recruite some unit's it would give move variety in tactics. I placed 427 for USSR (50 free core unit's at start) 390 for Axis AI.
Add more outdated armour to Soviets as acually they have around 1,5 quantity advantage by the start of war. It could be in bad condition and scattered over all country.
Add at least two ariplane factories Mikoyan (Laggs Mig La) and Yakovlev (Yaks) that will produces planes independently.
Add more trigger event's like Winter Moscow counter offensive, and the Defence of Sevastopol
Add global mobilization for USSR . example constant icrease in prestige after XXX turn.
Too many infantry and aromour are spawning at the edge of the map. Make some of them closer to Moscow. You can redirect some armor spawn points to Stalingrad for example. And inf Spawn to Pskov , Tula etc.
Fw 190 are not balanced. With La-5 put into servise there were no more Luftaffe quality superiority in air. La-5 F/FN are little better then FW 190 A BF-109G.
With the begining of Kursk event it comes a game over to USSR as Soviets in game cant stop Panthers. Maybe add some AT guns with Range 1 instead 0 ?? More deployable field fortifications ??
Anyaway i didn't expect this game could be so much fun. Thanks. I have never been a fan of this game but because of your mod i learnt even script modding =)

U have managed to recreate the general way how really went ww2 in eastern fron. Leningrad , Moscow and Crimea, then Stalingrad and Kursk. All this is shown and programmed very detailed.
