Register. Send your list in. You can pay via paypal when you send your list in.

We need to pay the venue so getting money in advance solves lots of problems.
Note this is pretty SOP for the international events.

There will be a pretty broad spectrum of players, so there will be a big pool at your level not matter what that is.

Hmmm, last time the Poms visited the US, one of your colleagues tried to drown them plus some South Africans in an Alligator infested Bayou!
They probably thought they _were_ drinking your beer when they sucked up Bayou water!

I do hope Walt can make the IWF. The Potomac River is right nearby, and popular for canoeing. While there are no alligators handy to deal with the foreigners, he can lead them straight out to the Atlantic. :D

As somebody who actually went on the ill-fated boat trip in New Orleans I would just like to say that I don't want to be paddling around in an alligator infested swamp with no lights and no idea of where we are again, thank you very much.

It was also relatively funny paddling about in the pitch black listening to Walt up front

Bloke Canoening: Walt, there is a bank up ahead
Walt: Listen to that lesser spotted Swamp warbler
Block Canoening: Walt, we need to change direction
Walt: Shhhh.

<Fx> Sound of Canoe hitting bank. Canoe Stops

fifteen further wallops as all the canoes following thud into the lead canoe...

It was funny when the Saffers went submarining though. Well, once we had rescued them from the alligator infested swamp anyway...

The canoe reference came from a Monty Python sketch, where they said American beer is like having sex in a canoe.. ******* near water.

I can arrange a kayak trip on the potomac for those who want?

No alligators, but jet skis are far more dangerous.

Yes, I was aware of that, but couldn't resist connecting with the real life incident as retold by Dave R. It is very funny now, but I can agree with Dave that it wasn't very funny at the time.
For many of us the mental picture of Colin swimming for his life pursued by Alligators is something to treasure :D Funnily enough, given Colin's extreme military background, it might have been the Alligator that would have been sorriest..... :o

Plus Colin used to represent South Africa in swimming so I suspect he would have put on a good show.

We took the bizarre step of going out on the water in the daytime when you can actually see things and not get eaten alive by insects,

I didn't think Colin was one of those who wen swimming? In my recollection it was three youngish chaps who went in the drink? I certainly spoke to one of the (the one whose fault it was) and I don't think Colin was one of the other two? Six years ago, so my memory might be wrong though!
