Re: "240 BC Grand Campaign"
If Apulia hold off Rome it is right up there with AC Milan being held by bottom of the table Benevento 2:2 yesterday thanks to a 95th minute header by the Benevento goalkeeper

Re: "240 BC Grand Campaign"
Notes from the front:
The Jewish Army under General Yadon, Son of Anaiah has confronted the Ptolemaic forces under General Aniketos on an open flat battlefield with just a small patch of rough ground in the centre of the Jewish line.
Ptolemaic skirmishers have found themselves heavily outnumbered as they try to protect the Phalanx and Cavalry from being peppered before they reach the Medium Infantry forming the Jewish main line.
The Ptolemaic main line plods on.............

Well, devoncop, the Apulians feel a bit underestimated by your comment ...devoncop wrote:If Apulia hold off Rome it is right up there with AC Milan being held by bottom of the table Benevento 2:2 yesterday thanks to a 95th minute header by the Benevento goalkeeper![]()
A great rage is enflaming their hearts and they paw the grounds waiting the time to enter the battle and show their valour!

Believe me, as one who watches Rome with consternation, Ptolemy wishes you nothing but success
Re: "240 BC Grand Campaign"
Pontus also sends its support to the Mysian People's Front in their struggle against the tyrant Antiochus and looks forward to seeing peace re-established in Phoenicia. We have heard that false and misleading rumours of a Pontic invasion of Bithynia are being spread by persons unknown. In fact, my brother-in-law Nicomedes has invited me to his latest orgy and I am going there with a large retinue who are carrying many gifts of various types of special Pontic armaments for my friendly neighbour. When we arrive, there will be a demonstration of how these armaments work, so my neighbour will know how to use them.devoncop wrote:Thank you for clarifying that Lysimachos.

Ptolemy wishes the Mysyan defenders well in their fight with the Seleucid oppressors.........!
It is a relief we do not yet have riots in the Kingdom !
Announcement of Alliance
It was a momentous day when Ptolemy and Mithridates met in a grand summit amidst much feasting and debauchery.
As a result a pact of non aggression and mutual defence was agreed to ensure the world order would not be upset by certain other unstable tyrants and upstart Republics in the region.
Let the known world be aware of the pact.
Signed
His Excellency Ptolemy of Egypt.

Pontus has learned that the unrest in Phoenicia is being fomented by King Antiochus, who has formed rival splinter groups calling themselves the Peoples Front of Judea and the Judean Peoples' Front. We have learnt that these groups have less than 12 members and are totally unrepresentative of the general populace, who welcome the peace and security promised by the grace of King Ptolemy. Anyway it seems that Antiochus is wasting his money, as so far the efforts of these splinter groups seem to be confined to painting slogans on walls and fighting each other.

The defense of Hyrcania is delegated to vakarr, given that Trogilus cannot be at the same time attacker and defendant!Trogilus wrote:Parthia paves roads and launches an invasion of Hyrcania from Dahaee.

Sorry I am unable to update Field of Glory 2 and it won't allow me to play multiplayer until I update the software. I have logged a ticket with the Slitherine help desk to try to find out what the direct link is to the update file, as I can't find the update file on the web page, either.Lysimachos wrote:The defense of Hyrcania is delegated to vakarr, given that Trogilus cannot be at the same time attacker and defendant!Trogilus wrote:Parthia paves roads and launches an invasion of Hyrcania from Dahaee.

Battle of Phoenicia update....
Ptolemaic Phalanx has eventually reached the Jewish line which is anchored on a town to its right.
Whilst prospects appear good for the Phalanx with the Jewish Theophorai already beginning to crack there are ominous overlaps of large numbers of further Jewish medium infantry to its right and Cavalry to its left.Ptolemaic Cavalry is desperately rushing to assist......
Current losses.....16% Jewish/9% Ptolemaic

Why not just admit your troops were terror struck and are now recovering their nerves.vakarr wrote:OK my multiplayer access has been restored, so I can play those battles now, only it is so late now it will have to wait until tomorrow before I can play the games, sorry!

Apulians are duly marching to honour their Roman cousin, hoping their numbers will be sufficient to celebrate them appropriately

Assuming that we are still in turn 1, Macedon would like to build paved roads.

Re: "240 BC Grand Campaign"
The campaign is dynamical and you can issue orders and actions when you want with the only limit of not having more than:mceochaidh wrote:Assuming that we are still in turn 1, Macedon would like to build paved roads.
- one land or amphibious attack,
- one independent or external attack
running at the same time.
