Re: Roll Call - 7/8 April 2018
I'd like to distance myself from this Plymouth-gate scandal. I blame Mr Akers... who entered me (Ooh er missus). I am 250 miles from Plymouth and have no affiliation
with PAW whatsoever! I repudiate any claimed Plymouthness, real or implied. I even root for Portsmouth in the Royal Tournament Field Gun race... or did when the navy
still had enough personnel to field three teams.
Quite happy to be drawn (and get my initial thumping of the weekend) against anyone

In the words of Second Technician Arnold Judas Rimmer of the Jupiter Mining Corporation ship Red Dwarf: "...in a previous life I was Alexander the Great.... 's Chief Eunuch". The military is in Rimmer's blood.

It dates from a couple of years ago when I was endeavouring to avoid being drawn against Paul w. If it makes it easier you can reclassify us as a separate group.

Can someone let the organisers of Roll Call know that they have Mr Bannister down for Bolt Action in error. He is correctly on the FOG AM list but unless he has a name sake double or been drinking potions from Hermione Granger then the Bolt Action draw needs looking at again.

Re: Roll Call - 7/8 April 2018
Thanks for doing the scoring Dave - just like the rankings - when you get hold of the controls you end up at the top! A well deserved win!!
I had 4 great games vs David, Phil, Graham & Dave. Narrowly pipped by Mr Ruddock in our game 20 to 19.
Comedy moment of the weekend has to be my final turn vs Graham. At this point I had lost 1 AP from 12 and he had lost 12 of 13 with 2 fragged BGs in combat. With time almost up I elected not to do any moves and went straight to the melee phase. At games end I had lost 8 of 12 and he remained unbroken!
Great fun and an excellent test of V3 which I thought it passed with flying colours.
We need to spread the word!

Thanks to Dave for stepping up to organise the scoring
A few problems but with a new scoring system and no proper scoring sheets good job.

Roll Call Results - 2018

Last weekend over 150 players took part in this year's Roll Call, making it one of our biggest events in recent years - and we've pleased to report that we've already published all of the results from all 9 different historical gaming periods on the BHGS website along with loads of pictures of the games (and terrain) - including these amazing "demo game standard" layouts from our first ever Sharp Practice event!

Coming up next we have plenty more competitions for you, starting with the BHGS Challenge which runs as part of the UK's biggest gaming event UK Games Expo at the NEC in June, and our own flagship 3-day Britcon event in Manchester in August.
Full details of the competitions on offer at both events can now be found on our website along with links to book online.
