Pool D

MikeMarchant's Timurids (43/32) achieved and honourbale draw with Voskarp's Lithuanians (32/32).

A cloesly contested battle which I was lucky to get a draw from. Thanks for the game Oskar.

And that's my final game for the group stage, so I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of my opponents, who were great fun to play against and all of whom played in the best of spirits.

Best Wishes

Pool C

Jonathan4290 (Mongols) 32/41 defeats PeterAbb (Moldavians) 52/51

And we're just waiting on my pool to finish up. NZsam03 appears MIA so if everyone else finishes up before deadline, we'll just adjudicate his matches. Grudgebringer I'm pretty sure is kicking around, just started a bit late.

Just a question out of curiosity: In Pool A there are three players who appear to have the same record, with Cunningcairn, ZumHeuriger and Allendeuce on 2 wins and 4 losses. How is it decided which of those three go through to the next round?

The complex calculations are on previous page. I added up total scores of all games involving the tied players against each other.

Pool B

PeterAbb: Byzantine Trebizond 42/43 defeats Yuknoom: Moldavian 54/47

A real tight and hard battle, were Yuknoom, without the help of much terrain, gave me a good belting, before going down in the last two rounds or so.

I should have 3 wins and 1 loss so far. (About to change in the next day when Jonathan kicks my butt again, to give me another loss.)

Just waiting on Pool B to be decided and we can begin playoff matches while remaining pool matches finish up. We will give NZsam03 another week to appear before adjudicating his matches.

This is probably the mootest of moot points, but I beat tonycraven in one game and posted a challenge for the other, which I reminded him of, on May 6, and he never picked it up.

Noted. I'll keep this in mind if it goes to adjudication.

I've adjudicated all games involving NZsam03 and corrected Yuknoom's record for Pool B. I will allow another week for remaining pool games to be completed before being adjudicated. Please update me within the week regarding status of any outstanding games as Yuknoom has done.

In meantime: we can now begin the playoffs with the above matches! Best of luck to remaining competitors.

I will also be recruiting for a Decline and Fall tournament in the very near future so be on the lookout for the start of that. It will be run in stages in case Slitherine suddenly officially releases FOG 2.0. Don't start arguing over who gets to play as the Moors just yet.

Congratulations to Londo for his double win. I was well and truly outplayed in both legs and the better player advances.

Thanks for the game, Londo, always a pelasure; even if also a rather humbling one.

Best Wishes
