I too have decided to declare for Parliament!
However unlike Tim I will be relying on an awful lot of very average (and indeed some poor) men........
Perhaps you could lend me some of your good men Tim?

I too doth hereby pledge mine and my men of the Eastern Association's allegiances unto the noble cause of the Parliament in ousting the unjust tyrant Charles.
I have reason to believe that Lord Emsen of The New Forest hath seen fit to provide himself with a force of lowly Irish brigands, rustlers and thieves, that he doth declare to be an army.
Meanwhile, Lord Simpson of Milton Keynes hast sallied forth from his ancestral home of the Scottish Highlands with a force of Scottish Royalist. He professes his loyalists lie with the King, but I suspect his forces loyalties doth depend upon where the coin doth fall!

Tim,
I can do that as part of the final tiding up after the competition. I will post the details here and send you a copy.

Re: FoG R Southern League 2015 - Oxford Round
Depending on whether I am able to borrow some Scots again, I will be fielding either Covenanters with 1644 Parliamentarians, or else just Parlamentarians.
Either way, I plan on avoiding a repetition of last year's post- competition heart attack.

Please don't!
Hopefully you are fully recovered now.
Two trial/warm up games, two losses.

Re: FoG R Southern League 2015 - Oxford Round
I will be using a 1644 Scots Covenanter and Parliamentary army; the first, but possibly not the last, time that an English Parliamentary mob has been directed by a group of Scots. I'd like to reassure you, however, that my CinC is NOT a middle-aged blond Scots lady.

We are missing 3 lists so not able yet to publish runners and riders. I have been in contact with the 3 players concerned so with luck I will have the full information by tomorrow.

Parliament – 4
New Model Army – 1
Scots Covenanter – 3
Confederate Irish - 1

I can confirm the following modifications to the normal set-up rules - light troops will deploy up to 18" and battle troops 13" in from the owning players the base line. In addition light and medium artillery can deploy up to 18" in from the base line as will limbered heavy artillery. Unlimbered heavy artillery would still only be able to deploy at 15".
Also If artillery is captured, the player who has captured them can at the end of the turn in which he has captured them, during the JAP phase, after all auto routing troops have been removed, choose to remove the artillery.

Pete,
Sorry about that I made a mistake amending the spreadsheet that does the draw and left Mike Pickering on from last year.
You are playing Alasdair - a quick learning curve for you.
