I'm fixing my last campaign ; I try it once I finish it :)

I'm downloading it right now, I will at least take a first closer look to this beautiful map now

PS : have you understood how to change unit starting date, as I explained previously ?

I tried — I changed the date, saved it, and nothing happens.

Oh, I forgot ! When you change something in the main mod, you need to reload it with JSGME.

I usually directly do it in my sub-campaigns (that don't need to be reloaded), so I forget it was necessary with main mod.

It should work, now.

No problem, I’ll translate your text into English:

"Nothing happens, I’ll try it. How can I add, for example, a field gun that the Romanians have on a truck? I want to upgrade armies."

About your map :

- Very good looking ! Plenty of details, that's cool !
- I have the feeling that the map is a bit distorted. Distance North-South don't seems equal to the distance East-West.
- Some Belarus flags are lost in the Atlantic

Image

- 5000 C-130 per country seems a bit excessive
- Some alliances are wild

Image

You could safely remove the last one. Even from a gameplay perspective, there is not even a flag on the map to make them appear.
On the other side, having Armenia + Azerbaidjan together is... unexpected. But why not, after all. I think that Serbia could be nice in this alliance, by the way. Let's have some actions in the Balkans.

I'll make some changes for my own use :)

I already replied to you in another post viewtopic.php?t=118495 that it is impossible for me to create step-by-step instructions, especially in video form, for building a unit. I am not the right person to ask about this. Do you have a graphics programme? Are you familiar with it? Then experiment with it. Download a unit image from panzercorps/graphics/units and start editing it. For example, cut out the turret from another tank, copy it, place it on the other tank and adjust it. That was just one example. Continue step by step. If you are not yet familiar with the graphics programme, you will have to learn how to use it first.

This allows you to begin editing existing units, thereby creating a hybrid or, as I would call it, a “Frankenstein”. Have fun experimenting!Greetings Tobi.

Still a wild alliance, but after all : the more chaos, the better

I'm doing my own version, it's relaxing to work just with basic setups.
I think that I will play both sides with home special rules and rework the alliances a bit

Tobi is right about unit creation : the best is to experiment :)

What have you changed exactly ? Since I'm already doing things on it, I want to know if I should continue or if I should download the new version and start from the beginning ?

EDIT : Nevermind, I start again

I also sent you a link on this topic in a private message at the time. Slovakia was replaced by North Korea in ‘Modern Conflicts’. If I were you, I would make a copy of the entire mod and edit that copy.

PS: Gimp is a good programme for such projects. :!:

Nice !

Talking about Syria, YPG controled territories are not represented at all.
I also see that Abkhazia and South Ossetia are not represented neither and are just simply controlled by Georgia.

I guess you have just used a general map and have not watched closely the political situation.

But you have certainly worked a lot and deserve some rest after this marathon !
I stop to be picky and I will make my own changes

Again, good work ! The map is really beautiful !

I've posted about it yesterday on my thread.
I'm using it as a sandbox : I control both sides and I regularly open fronts between some countries. And I also intend to see if the Turks can invade Syria soon
It's relaxing to not try to be overly effective and don't care that much about my core units

No, it's great :)
Not mistakes, but it is possible to improve some things. The end of the rivers can be more good looking :

You can tranform them into that :

These tiles are in "Tiles - Rivers" in the editor. The game don't generate them itself unfortunately, we have to place them manually.
They look like that :

These tiles are available both for large and minor rivers. These are the large ones ; the ones for the minors are higher in the tile list.

I understand, I was testing it, I didn’t know. Yeah, I’ll do it—I was unhappy about it, but I’ll make a V2 where I’ll put more factories in places where there are too few and fix everything. For now, I’m gathering strength because my map was a marathon :) I’m glad the map is fine. I would play MP, but I only have the game downloaded, I haven’t bought it :) I was testing it like Tobi recommended or like you suggested :)

I wanted to add, for example, some aircraft, artillery, and tanks for the Czech Republic and Hungary. I want these countries to be realistic, showing the armies as they were from 2000 all the way up to 2030, or even 2035. This is before the MC game by Stormbringer is finished. Then I’ll start again with a 300x300 map, the same idea, but I’ll make it even better, though it will take time. Unless the states and lots of units are there, it’s not really worth it. Yes, the map will be ready, but it will wait until there are more states and armies.

What frustrates me is that nobody makes good guides on how to do this. For example, I set it up so that states had trenches, fortifications, and minefields, but when I launched the game, the PDA map was black, and the game crashed—I had to delete it. Any suggestions?

2587 Minefield 6 120 100 0 0 0 0 10 10 10 0 0 8 15 2 1 1 Ger_minefield.png 1.6.2017 1.1.2100 4
5730 Strongpoint 6 203 30 0 0 3 0 6 9 8 0 0 22 17 6 1 1 Ger_Bunker.png 15.1.2017 1.1.2100 4
5731 Fortified Position 6 203 20 0 0 3 0 6 10 9 0 0 17 13 6 1 1 Ger_fortified.png 15.1.2017 1.1.2100 4

This is how I did it at the end of the list—Germany didn’t have anything, so I copied it, changed the ID to GER, and nothing worked. Any ideas? How exactly do I add, for example, Leopard 2A7 tanks for Hungary? Is the equipment file enough? Thanks.

Friends, a question — I found a post from someone in a thread explaining how to easily edit a country. I already have Slovakia, so I don’t need to change that. My question is: how do I add units to Slovakia? In which files, and what exactly do I need to do? Where can I find it, and how is it done? I’ve been searching for half a day and found nothing. I’ll copy here the post that person wrote.

I am attempting to add Czechoslovakia for the purpose of a 1938 campaign.
Do you need it additionally to the existing countries at all costs? Otherwise it would be much easier to modify an existing country to Cze.

For this, pick a country from the game you don't need, then edit its name to "Czechoslovakia" in the strings.pzdat file in Data/

Then you need to change the various gfx showing the flag to have a Czech flag:

- one in the "flags" file under Graphics/Overlays/
- one in UI/Flags
- one in UI/Purchase/Flags

Then give your Czech units the number code of the country you changed for this in the equipment.pzdat

IIRC that would be all in this way (tho it has been a while so maybe I forgot something). Backups for everything you change are highly recommended of course.

There's a second way to really add a completely new country without modifying an older one, but it's way more work and more error-prone, and could need rework with new patches. However, if the above isn't enough for you I can see to post more on this.
