is horrible ,.....is very stiff,....like in WW I ....

i´m not sure to win annything here
and the encircle won't work because there are supply hexes inside the city

yes, thats clear,....but catching the cities and airfields around gives 50prestige extra each, and for attacking you will need each point of your prestige....well i do so!!

Help please what is the procedure with chat to your opponent. Turn speed is so slow I receive an email saying its my turn we play one "game turn " both sides then
nothing for 24 hours its very frustrating. It would be nice to know when your opponent intends to play we all have family and work but commitments but I joined
this tournament to play this great game. So any advise on how to chat in game time to my opponent would be much appreciated. When I click on the chat panel I cant type any message am I doing something wrong ??? I am ready to go to WAR !!!!

Press enter to open chat, type in the message and then send it. It can be very frustrating to be on different timezones etc but sending a message in game is the best way of getting things done. It's also worth sending a message on how to send a reply - some people may not know how to reply...

Not sure I received the points. I won against Germany by invading their two supply cities...I went around his army and as soon as I invaded the two cities I won (was surprised) but I find my score kind of low. Am I going to receive my points at the end of the Tournament ?

That's exactly how I lost against the Russians. Took me completely by surprise. 'Don't look over here - look at the shiny thing over there!'
Anyway, I think he got 100 points.

Don't you get bonus points for each turn you hold those hexes? If so, it would behoove you to not end the game early. The next time you're logged into your game, you might check the the mission briefing. It should explain how all that works.

The balance of the second round raises questions :?:

The idea of supply hexes in the city center is not a good one, I think

There is no point in encircling the city when reinforcements including tanks and heavy weapons can appear through the beautiful Moscow metro. I admire the Soviet engineering genius, but I think that then the Moscow metro did not go far beyond the city

I think it would be better to add trains for the USSR. In general, it is strange that the USSR does not have trains, especially considering the historical context of the battle for Moscow. It looks especially interesting when Germany has trains  The USSR is fighting for its capital on its territory, while Germany needs to restore the railway tracks and change their track

Nice. I didn't win. It was so obvious I was going to lose that I congratulated my opponent on turn 13, I think. He actually won on the last turn so he didn't have time to accumulate any bonus points, so I don't know how or when they are rewarded.

Getting back to my point from a week or so ago - its funny how people get 2000 points if their opponent surrenders. Everyone who fought hard in 2nd round gets 1k maybe 1.5k and there is a bloke who got nice phat 2000 points on day 1. Serious rebalancing needed there! Would it hurt to have a sticky or maybe even top post in a thread listing exact scoring criteria so every single player has same level of knowledge?

ESPADATXI wrote: Sun Jun 27, 2021 8:46 pm In my case, my opponent does play but he does it at such a slow pace that in a week it is impossible to complete the 20 turns and the two games will remain unfinished ... obviously he is aware but continues with his rhythm of just one turn per day ... and you can't do anything ... at least reading here I see that it could be worse ... :?
My first round was good even though I lost we finished both games in 4 days both going 20 turns. This round is similar to yours 1 turn a day and nothing today how frustrating I love this game and enjoy 1v1 tournament play but this is so disappointing. Next round on the first turn I am going to ask my opponent what time of day and how many turns he wants to play at a time. Players should only join a tournament if they have time and want to play otherwise just play by your self. Also in my first round we played 1 game at a time until finished this round we are playing 1 turn per game a day its hard to keep swapping games I need to finish this round and hopefully have a more enthusiastic opponent next time. If somebody want to organize a tournament after this one for enthusiastic players who want to play !!!!! please count me in

Great to have a tournament, but 1 week for 20 turns is not enough. If time zones are not synchronised then more than 1 turn per day is difficult, and those of us who work (I am up at 6am and dont get home until around 6pm) would struggle to get 3 turns in per day average even if time zones are in sync. It would work much better if each round were to be played in 2 weeks, and not 1.
