heidipie Irish defeated anderarcosi Normans 63 to 39
flat plain with woods on either side. Irish forgot to roll for better terrain and when first Norman knight charge broke 2 high quality units, even though both on a hill, did not look good for the Gaels
..but more numberous irish managed to swarm out of the several woods and eventually surround
very close for most of the fight actually and lucky rally from yellow by several Irish helped
thanks for the game

phlewis Egyptian 1068-946 BC defeated rockmanbob123 Neo-Hittite/Aramaean 890-700 BC.
25/52
The Hittites setup on a long ridge with their Assyrian style chariots in open ground on their left. The Egyptian Sherdan and Libyan swordsmen charged the ridge while the Egyptian swordsmen swung around the far end of the ridge to fight their way up it and turn the right flank of the Hittites. The Egyptian chariots advanced to meet the Hittite chariots and skirmished with them keeping up a steady rain of arrows. Eventually a couple of the Hittite heavy chariots broke past the Egyptian chariots and reached the infantry battle on the ridge. A few of the Libyan and Sherdan units who had just gained the ridge turned to meet the Hittite chariots while the Egyptian chariots raced up behind the Hittite chariots.
A tough battle where the Libyan and Sherdan swordsmen carried the day with the Egyptian chariots and swordsmen covering their flanks.

wzfcns(Sassanid Persian 477-590AD) defeat Indibil Byzantine 551-578AD w Lombard 570-649AD allies,63-52。
The narrow plain sandwiched between two complex mountainous terrains took heavy casualties on both sides. The Persian bow cavalry forced the much less well-bowed Roman cavalry to suffer heavy casualties on the high ground on the right flank and eventually won the day.

phlewis German 888-932 AD defeated OmegaOm Dailami 928-1055 AD w/ Armenian 855-1045 AD allies
17/44
The right-hand side of the battlefield consisted of a series of hills covered with rough ground. The Germans were sandwiched between these hills and a large wood. The Germans setup in two columns and raced for the open ground to their left front. Meanwhile the Dailami swept across the hills in an attempt to flank the Germans before they could form a battleline in the open. The Dailami reached the German battleline as the Germans were still forming and joined in a massive melee. Luckily the dismounted German lancers armour blunted the charge of the Dailami and gave them the edge in the melee. Meanwhile the German lancers had advanced behind the forming infantry line and swung to face the Dailami mounted. The Armenian cavalry stood but the Ghilman were forced to fall back before the lancers. As the German lancers turned the Dailami flank the Dailami broke.
It was much closer than the final score looks. If the Dailami had reached the German infantry a turn earlier it could have easily gone the other way.

Re: TDC IV Late Medieval 1320-1500AD - Results
anderarcos11 has set the target for others to beat to win the division. A very strong record of 5 wins and only 1 defeat makes it a tough target for the rest.
Re: TDC IV Late Medieval 1320-1500AD - Results
Lots of games left in Div B, but Sennacherib is setting a fast pace and with only 1 match remaining has built a big points lead that will require some good performances from the other players if they are to get themselves to the top.
Re: TDC IV Imperial 25BC - 600AD Results
Division B sees anderarcos11 extend his lead at the top as he builds towards a big total.

rafydedel Philistine 600BC + Egyptian allies defeat Rob123 Babylonian 890 BC + arab allies 63-38
The battle took place on a plain divided by a deep stream and various patches of rough terrain and enclosure. manoeuvers to find a way to go over the strem led light chariots and camels to fight far away from footmen and light troops which were fighting in the center. A group of gibborim and lybian swordmen protected by light troops managed to push hard the babylonian and win the game.

Karvon Indian 546-599AD w Hephthalite 350-570AD allies defeated frederic02 Hephthalite 350-570AD w Sassanid 350-476AD allies 69-38.
A river blocked off our left and a mass of jungle interrupted by large rough patch masked off our right. We deployed a long line of our foot, interspersing bow and javelin, backed up by a strung out line of elephants and a few horse across this space. About half of our lancers formed up as a deeper reserve behind them. Our light foot deployed hidden in the jungles on our right, backed up by a couple of our javelin mediums. In addition we hid most of our light horse and about half of our lancers and heavier horse archers as well. We planned a slow but steady advance in the center and hoped we might ambush and overwhelm the enemy lights we expected on our right, then push through the jungles to flank them.
The Hephthalites deployed a few light horse to screen in the center backed up by several large blocks of their heavier horse archers and an elephant or two. A token number of medium foot deployed in the middle behind some rough. A couple of light horse sortied out of the jungles on our right and cautiously probed.
We pushed forward as planned in the center and delayed a little on our right waiting to see how things developed. The enemy horse galloped up and unleashed barrages of arrows along our line in the center and charged a couple of our archers, causing some disruptions. We charged along the line, scattering the enemy horse archers in all directions, but they regrouped a little and the process repeated. The Hephthalites brought a number of archers out of the jungles on our right to lend firepower to their horses and our own foot suffered rather grievously. We brought our lancers up and they helped drive off or cut down some of the harassing horse and slowly turned the enemy right.
In the meantime we unleashed our lights on our right and, supported by our lancers and heavy horse archers, drove off or destroyed the opposing enemy lights. Our medium foot moved up here and helped clear the rough and jungles allowing our horse to push through and flank the enemy left.
The arrival of our victorious horse and foot from the right tipped the scales in the struggle in the center and the Hepthalites finally broke and streamed off the field.

The German and Norman lancers virtually destroyed each other. The Germans had one lancer left and I think the Normans had two. Most of the German dismounted lancers survived which tipped the scales against the Normans.

angusosborne (Danish) defeats paulmcneill (Byzantine) 43-18
We had the least consequential stream running across the battlefield, which made knight charges a little muted and a patch of rough going on my side. We pretty much fought along the line of the stream. I managed to push away and break some Byzantine cavalry on my right allowing a spearmen to turn on the flank and came out slightly ahead in the missile exchange. The Varangian general punched straight through my line, but otherwise my troops had the advantage in melee and I was a wee bit lucky with the cohesion checks - a Fragmented, flanked Knight general Held Firm for both his combats to keep the margin at 25 percentage points. Thanks Paul
